1 About these additional instructions

These additional instructions describe how to perform an update of the

DAC comfort control.

2 Performing the update

Information

Machines shipped prior to the summer of 2016 require that you perform a

comprehensive, one-time update (bootloader update).

1. Download the bootloader software from Duerkopp Adler’s website

(https://software.duerkopp-adler.com/maschinenprogramme.html).

2. Unzip the file to a USB key.

 This will create 2 folders: bootscr. and update.

3. Plug the USB key (2) into the USB port (3) on the control (1).

4. Switch on the machine.

 The update is launched. The LEDs (4) illuminate.

 The update is complete when only the POWER LED is lit.

To perform the update:

1. Download the update that is intended for your machine from

Duerkopp Adler’s website (https://software.duerkopp-adler.com/

maschinenprogramme.html).

 The program is packaged as a .zip file whose name reflects the part

number of the program, the software status and the date it was created,

e. g. 9899_080600_000_A01.0.4_2013-12-10.zip

2. Uncompress the .zip file to a Dürkopp Adler USB key (part number

9835 301003).

 The ending of the update file is dacimg.

3. Plug the USB key (2) into the USB port (3) on the control (1).

4. Switch on the machine.

 The update is launched. The LEDs (4) illuminate.

Information

Some machine classes will display LOG messages on the control panel

while the update is in progress.

The update is complete when only the POWER LED is lit.

The machine performs a reference run and is ready for sewing.

Troubleshooting

The update has failed if the red LED is illuminated for a longer period and

the machine does not boot.

To eliminate an update error:

1. Switch off the machine and wait for approx. 30 seconds.

2. Switch on the machine.

 The update is launched.

If the update fails again, contact our Customer Service:
