THIS INSTALLATION MUST BE PERFORMED BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL FAMILIAR WITH STAN-
DARD SAFETY PRACTICES.
WARNING: ELECTRIC SHOCK can kill.
Do not touch live electrical parts.
Shut down welding power source, and disconnect input power employing lockout/tagging procedures
before installing running gear.
Disconnect input power conductors from deenergized supply line BEFORE moving welding power
source.
Lockout/tagging procedures consist of padlocking line disconnect switch in open position, removing fuses
from fuse box, or shutting off and redtagging circuit breaker or other disconnecting device.
FALLING EQUIPMENT can cause serious injury and equipment damage.
Use equipment of adequate capacity to lift the unit.
If using lift forks to handle this unit, be sure the lift forks are long enough to extend out of the opposite
side of the base.
Do not place any part of the body under the unit while it is suspended.
IMPORTANT: Consult the proper Running Gear Illustration when performing installation (Figure 1. No. 22 Running
Gear, Figure 2. No. 23 Running Gear). Do not tighten securing hardware until assembly is complete.
A. Assembly Of Cylinder Rack
1. For No. 22 Running Gear only, install pan mounting angles onto cylinder rack base pan using supplied hardware.
2. Coat inside of each rear wheel hub with grease.
3. Insert rear axle through holes in pan mounting angles.
4. Install wheels onto axle, and secure with supplied hardware.
B. Installation Of Running Gear Onto Welding Power Source
WARNING: UNCONTROLLED TILTING OR TIPPING of welding power source can result in per-
sonal injury and/or equipment damage.
Use equipment of adequate capacity to lift unit.
Do not place any part of the body under the unit while it is suspended.
Place blocks near running gear casters and wheels to prevent movement during installation to the welding
power source.
1. Slide cylinder rack under rear of welding power source.
2. Place reinforcing bar inside of the welding power source base rail. Align holes in reinforcing bar, base rail, and pan
mounting angle.
3. Secure reinforcing bar and pan mounting angle to base rail using supplied hardware. Repeat for opposite side.
4. Place caster mounting bar under base rails. Align holes in bar with holes in base rails.
5. Insert casters through holes in bar and base rail. Secure casters and bar using supplied hardware.
6. Remove all rear screws from welding power source cover.
7. For No. 22 Running Gear only, install cylinder retaining bracket onto welding power source using screws removed
in Step 6.
For No. 23 Running Gear only, install cylinder retaining bracket onto welding power source using the two screws
removed from the top rear of the welding power source cover in Step 6. Discard the two screws from the side rear
cover of welding power source removed in Step 6.
8. For No. 22 Running Gear only, install support bars between cylinder rack pan and cylinder retaining bracket so that
the end with two holes is attached to the cylinder retaining bracket. Secure with supplied hardware.
For No. 23 Running Gear only, install straight end of support bars to cylinder rack frame, and secure with supplied
hardware. Secure remaining end of support bars and sides of cylinder retaining bracket to welding power source
with supplied hardware.

9. Install cylinder chains to holes provided in cylinder retaining bracket.
10. Remove screws securing front sides of welding power source cover.
11. Install running gear handle using supplied hardware.
12. Tighten all hardware.
