Hunter approached us in August of 2013 about becoming a testing site for

their new fully automatic tire changer. When testing concluded in December,

I knew we had to invest in this machine.

We have been extremely pleased with Hunter’s new Revolution tire changer.

Our shop has denitely seen an increase in low prole tires, run ats an

heavy assemblies in recent years. ese assemblies present challenges when

using conventional tire changers, particularly scratching the rim and time

cost to change.

Before the Revolution, we were very concerned about scratching rims. In

seven months with the Revolution, we have not scratched a single rim. Now,

we are known for never scratching rims.

With the Revolution, we see consistent results on every tire. is has helped

our work ow and helped make our scheduling more productive. We know

for certain that every type of tire will take the same amount of time, every

time. We never need two techs to change one tire now, and even a 30 series

tire takes only one person.

Madison Tire is a busy tire store and auto repair facility in the heart of Madison,

New Jersey. We have been serving the community for 60 years and our customer

base covers old to new and small cars to mid-size trucks. We employ 6 techs and

are faced with varying skill levels regarding demounting and mounting tires. We

needed to address the numerous tire and wheel mounting issues that inevitably

arise with such a diverse customer base and avoid the expense that goes along with

the learning curve especially with a new employee.

We wanted to expand our aftermarket line but were concerned with the same

mounting issues. When we saw the Revolution tire changer it occurred to us

that this machine could become the great equalizer and put all our tire techs on

an equal plane. Well, the Revolution has been an integral part of our shop since

February and our expectations have been exceeded. Our techs have all adapted to

the new technology and we’re extremely happy with the efciency, particularly

the time and manpower that was lost on difcult tires and wheels which invariably

occurred on our busiest days.

Our decision to invest in Hunter’s new Revoluon re changer has had an

incredible impact on our daily operaons. There has been a night and day

dierence on the amount of wear and tear our technicians go through, using the

Revoluon is much easier than using tradional equipment.

We have seen huge consistency in the me it takes to changes res and this has

been a great improvement for us compared to our old machines. We see a lot

faster while sll protecng TPMS sensors. Training is absolutely foolproof, and

once you change your rst re on the machine, you are able to handle any re

that comes into the shop.

Watched this changer at SEMA for an

extended time waiting for “the mistake”

to happen. It never did. They had three of

these machines running simultaneously

with different assemblies and users. Never

skipped a beat! I’m not easily impressed but

this thing is awesome!!!
