Tofreezea displayed reading onthe LCD, press theHOLDbutton one time (theHOLDiconwill
appearonthebottomleftportionoftheLCD).ToexitHOLD,presstheHOLDbuttonagain.
UnitsofMeasure
The currently selected unit of measure is shown below the measurement value on the top
sectionsofthemeter’sLCD.Tochangetheunitofmeasure,pressthe/UNITSbuttonuntilthe
desiredunitofmeasureappears.
DisplayingPressure
Press Unit button to scroll through available pressure units of measure. Press P M button to
togglebetweenP1,P2,P1P2readings.
DisplayingTemperature
PressunitbuttontoselectC/F.PressT MbuttontotogglebetweenT1,T2,T1T2readings.The
displayshows dashes (‐ ‐ )whenthere is no thermocouple connected.Thedisplay shows “OL”
whenthetemperaturebeingmeasuredisoutsidethethermocouplerange.

ViewingMAXMINAVG
Foragivenmeasurementsession,thismetercanrecordthehighest(MAX)andthelowest(MIN)
readingsforlaterrecall.
1. PresstheMAXMINbuttontoviewthecurrentMAXreadings(MAXiconappears).The
readingsonthedisplayarenowthehighestreadingslogged.
2. PresstheMAXMIN
buttonagaintoviewthecurrentMINreadings(MINiconappears).The
readingsonthedisplayarenowthelowestreadingslogged.
3. PressMAXMINbuttononcemoretoviewthecurrentAVGreadings(AVGiconappears).
Thereadingsonthedisplayarenowthelowestreadingslogged.
To
exitthe MAXMINmode,pressandholdtheMAXMINbuttonfor3seconds.TheMAXMIN
AVGiconswillswitchoffandthemeterwillreturntothenormaloperatingmode.
ZeroAdjust(Pressure)
TheunitmustbekeptintheuprightpositionwhenZEROINGorwhentakingmeasurements.To
ZERO the meter: Before use and without fittings attached to the meter, press and hold the H
buttonfor3secondsoruntilthedisplayshowsallzeroes.
SetupMode
Press and hold the /SET button for three seconds to enter the Setup Mode. Momentarily
pressingtheorbuttonswillcyclethroughoutthefunctions.Press toselectthedesired
function.SetupisdisabledinMIN/MAXmode.Theyare(inorder):
OFFSET………StoreoffsetsforT1andT2
SLP……Sleepmode
Note:PressandholdtheSETbuttonforthreesecondswhenintheSetModetoexit.
Offset
Use the offset option to compensate for a specific thermocouple temperature error or
mismatch.Theallowableadjustmentrangeis±5.0°C(9.0°F).
1. PlugthethermocoupleintotheT1orT2inputconnectorlocatedoneithersideofthemeter.
2. Placethethermocoupleinaknown,stableenvironment.
3. Allow
the readings to stabilize. The primary display shows the temperature, while the
bottomdisplayshowstheoffsetvalue.
4. Use the and buttons to adjust the offset until the primary reading matches the
calibration temperature. Press
button to store the value and move to the next setup
modeoption.
SleepMode(AutoPowerOFF)
With sleep mode active, the meter automatically powers off after 20 minutes of inactivity. To
defeatthisfeature,whileinSLPmode,press
toindicateON(sleepmodeON)orOFF(sleep
mode OFF). Press or buttons to make a selection. Press to store the new setting in
memory.

BatteryReplacement
WARNING: To avoid electricalshock,remove the test leads,disconnectthe meter from
anycircuitandturnOFFthemeterbeforeopeningthecase.Donotoperatewithanopencase.
BatteryReplacement
When the low battery icon appears on the LCD, the batteries must be replaced. Several
hours of accurate readings are still possible in this condition; however, batteries should be
replacedassoonaspossible:
Removethecoverfromtherearofthemeter.
Replacetheone(1)9Vbatteryobservingpolarity.
Replacethebatterycompartmentcover.
Note:ThemetercanalsobepoweredbyaDC9VPowerAdapter.Themeterwillbepermanently
poweredONwhentheDCadapterisusedasthepowersupply(thepowerbuttonfunctionis
disabled).
Safety:Pleasedisposeofbatteriesresponsibly;neverdisposeofbatteriesinafire,batteriesmay
explodeorleak.Ifthemeterisnottobeusedfor60daysormore,removethebatteryandstore
separately.
Neverdisposeofusedbatteriesorrechargeablebatteriesinhouseholdwaste.
As consumers, users are legally required to take used batteries to appropriate
collection sites, the retail store where the batteries were purchased, or wherever
batteriesaresold.
Disposal:Donotdisposeofthisinstrumentinhouseholdwaste.The user
isobligated
to take endoflife devices to a designated collection point for the disposal of
electricalandelectronicequipment.
