Configuring the Replacement Base of Your Dell
Latitude D630c Computer
When you replace the base of your computer, you must affix a label
indicating the management mode. Labels are supplied in the base kit.
To ensure that you affix the correct management mode label to the new base:

Remove the battery from the old
base
, and locate the label affixed to the
inside of the battery bay (see illustration below).

The label inside the battery bay appears as one of the following:

Make a note of the large number on the label on the old base. The number
represents the management mode number.

Locate the matching label supplied with the
base
kit, and affix the new
label to the new
base
:
a
Align the left side of the new label to the right side of the recessed
label that is already in the base.

Align the top of the new label to the top of the battery bay. For
reference, view the illustration on the previous page.
