SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- Please read all the instructions in this manual before using your vacum cleaner.
- The instructions should be read and observed for your own safety.
When using this vacuum cleaner, basic precautions should be always be followed, including the
following.

To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or
injury :
1. Do not use outdoors. Never vacuum damp or
wet surface or liquids.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by
young children or inrm persons unless
the have been adequately supervised by a
responsible person to ensure that they can
use the appliance safely. Young children
should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
3. Do not leave the vacuum cleaner when
plugged in. Turn off the main switch before
unplugging. Unplug from outlet when not in
use and before maintenance.
4. Do not disassemble, modify or repair by
yourself. Only an authorized engineer is
allowed to disassemble ro repair.
5. Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If the
vacuum cleaner is not working as it should,
has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors,
or dropped into water, it must be repaired
by manufacturer, service agent or qualied
person in order to avoid hazard.
6. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug,
grasp the plug, not the cord.
7. Do not handle the plug or the vacuum cleaner
with wet hands.
8. Hold the plug when rewinding onto the cord
reel, to prevent the cord from whipping.
9. Do not pull or carry by the cord, use the cord
as a handle, close a door on the cord, or pull
the cord around sharp edges or corners. Do
not run the vacuum cleaner over the cord. Do
not scratch, damage, modify, bend sharply,
jerk, twist, or bundle the cord. Keep the cord
away from heated surfaces.
10. Do not pick up anything that is burning or
smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot
ashes.
11. Do not pick up ammable or combustible
liquids such as gasoline, kerosene, benzene,
thinner, etc. or ammable powder such as
toner, or use in areas where they may be
present.
12. Keep hair, loose clothing, ngers, feet and all
parts of body away from openings, rotating
agitator and other moving parts.
13. Do not pick up hard, sharp object such as
glass fragments, pins, cutlery, etc. They may
damage the cleaner.
14. Do not put any object into openings. Do not
use with any opening blocked; keep free of
dust, lint, hair, or anything that may reduce air
ow.
15. Do not use without dust bag and/or lters in
place.
16. Always turn off the main switch before
connecting or disconnecting hose, extension
tube, or other accessories. Do not insert the
plug unless the main switch is “OFF”.
17. Do not use extension cords or outlets with
inadequate current carrying
18. The use of extension cord is not recommended.
19. Do not store the vacuum cleaner outdoors.
Store indoors in a cool, dry place.
20. Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
21. Use only for intended use as described in this
manual. Use only attachments recommended
by TOSHIBA.

B-Preparing for Use
C-Cleaning
B-1 To connect hose, push it into the hose inlet
on the main unit. Connect extension tube and
oor brush.
To disconnect the hose, pull out while pushing
the button on the swivel connector.
B-2 Store accessory nozzles in the holder.
Attach the accessory holder to the extension
tube, and store Upholstery Brush, Dusting
Brush and Crevice Nozzle.
B-3 Adjust the length of extension tube.
Push the length adjustment button downward
(in the direction of arrow) and adjust to the
length of your favor.
B-4 Adjust suction power.
Adjust the suction power with suction
regulator.
Suction power is weakened by sliding the
regulator forward and open the vent.
Suction power is strengthened by sliding the
regulator backward and close the vent.
C-1 Pull power cord out of the main unit, and plug
in to the wall socket.
Yellow mark indicates the remaining cord is
approx. 1m.. Red mark indicates the cord is
pulled out to the maximum length.
C-2 Press ON/OFF power switch and start
cleaning.
C-3 Adjust suction power.
Adjust the suction power with power control
knob.
Suction power is strengthened by sliding the
regulator forward.
Suction power is weakened by sliding the
regulator backward.
C-4 Use accessory nozzle by attaching to the end
of handgrip.
Use at adjust suction power is weakened.
C-5 Adjust oor brush.
Adjust the kind of oor with ON/OFF brush
switch.
ON/OFF brush switch is knocked down
backward and it cleans on ooring.
ON/OFF brush switch is knocked down
forward and it cleans on carpet.
In case of operating more than 2 hours, power
is turned off as the safety device acts.
Unplug from wall socket and leave the main
unit at a cool place for 1 hour.
D-After Use
E-Dust Indicator
D-1 Press ON/OFF power switch to turn off the
power, and unplug from wall socket.
D-2 Press the cord rewind button and store the
power cord.
When rewinding power cord, hold the plug to
prevent any injury.
D-3 Shorten the extension tube and insert the
stand stopper into the storage slot on the main
unit.
E-1 When the dust bag becomes full and the dust
indicator on the main unit lights, clean the dust
bag.
To check the dust indicator, lift up the oor
brush from the oor.
If the dust indicator appears while cleaning
with accessory nozzle, check if the indicator is
still on even without the nozzle.
If the dust indicator is still on even after
detaching the nozzle, clean the dust bag.
Before cleaning, unplug the power plug from the
wall socket.
Cleaning Dust Bag
F-1 Detach the hose from the main unit, and open
the lid by pressing lid release tab.
F-2 Take out the dust bag and take off the sliding
fastener.
F-3 Throw away the dust in the dust bag.
F-4 Wash the dust bag with hands and leave it dry
at a shaded place.
F-5 Set the dust bag to the main unit.
F Cleaning Filter
F-6 Detach the hose from the main unit, open the
lid and take out the dust bag.
F-7 Take out the lter and wash the lter by gently
pressing it in water, and leave it dry at a
shaded place.
F-8 Set the lter to the main unit.
F-Maintenance
Turn off the Switch before unplugging, Unpiug
for Turn off the Main Switch before unplugging.
Unpiug from outlet before maintenace

TROUBLESHOOTING
Cleaning Air Outlet Filter and Biomimetic Fiber
(EA100CV)
F-9 Take off the air outlet cover.
F-10Take out the air outlet cover and biomimetic
ber(EA100CV) and wash the lter by gently
pressing it in water, and leave it dry at a
shaded place..
F-11 Set the air outlet lter and biomimetic
ber(EA100CV).
F-12 Set the air outlet cover.
To maintain the guaranteed performance and
quality, do not wash with detergent, bleach or
washing machine, and
do not dry with heater or dryer. They may
damage the lter.
After cleaning, fully dry dust bag/lter before
use. Using wet dust bag/lter may weaken
the suction power, or
may cause bad smell or malfunction.
To dry dust bag/lter, leave them at a shaded
and well-ventilated place for approx. 1 day (24
hours).
Cleaning Floor Brush
F-13 If dust is stuck, vacuum clean with crevice
nozzle.
Cleaning Main Unit and Accessory Parts
F-14 To clean the main unit and accessory parts,
wipe with a cloth moistened with water or
neutral detergent
In case the hose close to the swivel connector is
torn, take the following steps;
G-1 Unhook the 4 ridges and separate the swivel
connector from the hose.
G-2 Screw the hose joint and separate from the
hose.
G-3 Cut off the torn hose end with scissors or else.
G-4 Remove the torn part and attach the hose joint
to the hose end by screwing.
G-5 Assemble the hose joint and the swivel
connectors by setting the 4 ridges in place.
1. When the main unit is abnormally heated and the protector is activated operation stops.
Turn off the power by pressing ON/OFF power switch and unplug.
Throw away dust and clean the dust bag and lter.
Check if the hose and extension tube are clogged with dust.
Leave the main unit at a cool place for 1 hour and press the switch again.
2. When the power cord is not rewound.
Press the cord rewind button and «rewind» and «pull out» the cord for 2 ~ 3 times.
-Do not wash the motor Protection Filter
Deformation occurs, dust may leak through,
and the motor may be damaged as result.
CAUTION
Do not use alcohol, benzine, or other chemicals.
