DWL-120 Driver Upgrade Procedure

Preparation for Upgrade

• Make sure that the DWL-120 is rev. 1A. The 128-bit upgrade

requires the rev. 1A version of the DWL-120, and will not work with

prior versions of the hardware because of chipset limitations.

• Download the DWL120_DRIVERS_v225.02.zip from

http://support.dlink.com/ to a local directory such as c:\temp.

• Unzip DWL120_DRIVERS_v225.02.zip into a folder on the

computer’s hard drive such as c:\DWL-120.

• Make sure that the DWL-120 is connected to the USB port and the

drivers are already installed in the computer.

NOTE: If the DWL-120 drivers have not been installed in the

computer, please refer to the quick installation guide for the proper

installation procedure.

Updating the Drivers for Win 98/ME

Click on Start → select Settings → click on Control Panel → double click

on System → select the Device Manager Tab

Select the “D-LINK DWL-120

WIRELESS USB ADAPTER” in

Network adapters

Click on Properties

Select the Driver Tab

Click on Update Driver…

Click Next

Select “Search for a better driver

… (Recommended)”

Click Next

Select “Specify a location”

Click on Browse and select the

folder where the drivers were

unzipped i.e. C:\DWL-120

Click Next

Click on Start → select Settings → click on Control Panel → double click

on System → select Hardware tab → select the Device Manager

Select the “D-LINK DWL-120

Select the Driver Tab

Click on Update Driver…
