IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This heater should be installed by a competent person (i.e. a qualified electrician) in accordance with
the current edition of the IEE wiring regulations (BS 7671) and appropriate statutory regulations.
IF IN DOUBT CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN
This heater has a 2kW maximum rating and is designed for permanent high level wall mounting at a
minimum height of 1800mm above the room floor.
Before installing the heater check that the supply voltage of the installation matches the voltage
marked on the heater. This heater is suitable for use at 230 – 240V 50Hz supply voltages.
Safety Warnings
Do not use or install heater outdoors
Do not install the heater directly above or below a fixed socket outlet
Do not cover or obstruct heater grilles as this may cause overheating or fire
Do not use the heater to dry clothes
Do not touch the heater with wet hands
Do not use the heater if it has been dropped or damaged in any way
Do not allow any objects to be inserted in to the heater inlet or outlet grilles
Do not allow young children, the aged or infirm to use the heater without supervision
If the heater supply cord becomes damaged it must be replaced by a qualified person or
service engineer
In the event of a fault occurring do not attempt to repair the heater. This must only be carried
out by a qualified person or service engineer
There are no user serviceable parts supplied with the heater
INSTALLATION
Electrical Connection
BEFORE COMMENCING ANY INSTALLATION WORK OR MAINTENANCE ALWAYS ENSURE
THAT THE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY IS SWITCHED OFF
For additional safety, remove the fuse or switch off the circuit breaker for the relevant supply circuit at
the main fuse box or consumer unit.
Ensure that no one else has access that would enable the supply to be inadvertently reconnected.
The supply circuit used for connection of the heater must be appropriate for the rating of the heater
and must be protected with a 13A fuse
DO NOT CONNECT THE HEATER TO A LIGHTING SUPPLY CIRCUIT
Wiring
The power supply cord fitted to the heater is coloured as follows:
BROWN: LIVE
BLUE: NEUTRAL
THIS HEATER IS DOUBLE INSULATED AND DOES NOT REQUIRE AN EARTH CONNECTION
Page 4 of 7
This heater must be connected to the fixed wiring using a suitable means of termination.
The heater must be wired via a double pole switch having a contact separation of at least 3mm in both
the Live and Neutral poles to provide a suitable means of electrical isolation.
A 13A double pole switched fused connection unit with a flex outlet is recommended for heater
connection, positioned adjacent to the heater and not less than 1800mm from the floor.
Bath and Shower Room Installation
When installing the heater in a bath or shower room a minimum distance of not less than 600mm
must be maintained between the nearest edge of the bath / shower and the heater.
A minimum distance of 600mm must also be maintained between the bath / shower and means of
heater wiring termination and the double pole switch used for electrical isolation (unless pull cord
operated).
The heater wiring termination and switch must be positioned adjacent to the heater and not less than
1800mm from the floor.
Wall mounting
1. Choose a suitable position on the wall to mount the heater, ensuring minimum mounting height
of 1800mm from the floor and 150mm clearance between the heater and ceiling. Also ensure
150mm minimum distance around the heater from any flammable objects (e.g. curtains) as
shown in Fig 1.
2. Check to ensure that there are no hidden pipes or cables behind the wall where the heater is to
be mounted.
3. Place the wall mounting bracket horizontally on the wall and mark the position of the two holes.
4. Using a suitably sized masonry drill for the wall plugs supplied drill the two holes to the required
depth.
5. Secure wall mounting bracket to the wall using two of the fixing screws supplied as shown in
Fig 2.
6. With the hinged mounting bracket on the fan heater extended upwards position the fan heater
on to the wall mounting bracket ensuring that the two slots on the back of the fan heater are
fully located on the two vertical supports on the wall bracket.
7. Mark the position of the hole on the top mounting bracket.
8. Remove fan heater and drill hole to the required depth.
9. Reposition fan heater and secure top mounting bracket with the fixing screw supplied as shown
in Fig 2.
10. The fan heater should now be securely fixed to the wall.
11. Cut fan heater power supply cord to the required length for connection to supply fixed wiring
termination with appropriate flex-outlet facility.
12. Remove required length of the outer insulation of power supply cord and length of inner
conductor insulation from ends of individual conductors to ensure their correct termination and
connection to the appropriate terminals.
13. Ensure all connection terminals are tight and that the heater power supply cord is retained by
the means of termination used.
14. Ensure that the correct rated fuse is fitted in the fused connection unit. This should be a 13A
BS1362 approved fuse.
15. Switch on the circuit breaker or replace the fuse to restore power to the heater.

FIG 2.
FAN HEATER OPERATION
1. The fan heater is switched ON using the pull cord.
2. The fan heater is OFF when both power indicators are not illuminated.
3. Pull the pull cord once to operate the fan heater at the lowest heat setting (800W).
4. Pull the pull cord twice to operate the fan heater at the middle heat setting (1200W).
5. Pull the pull cord three times to operate the fan heater at the highest heat setting
(2000W), both power indicators are illuminated.
6. Pull the pull cord again to turn off the fan heater.
7. The fan heater design incorporates an automatic safety cut-out which will operate should
the fan overheat due to the fan grilles becoming blocked or covered over.
8. The heater and fan motor will stop working in the event of the safety cut-out operating
and will automatically start again once the unit has cooled down.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
1. The only maintenance required is cleaning of the outside surface of the fan heater.
2. Before cleaning the heater, wait until the heater has first cooled down. Ensure that the
heater is switched off and the main supply is disconnected.
3. Use a damp cloth to wipe the outside of the heater.
4. Do not use water, detergents, abrasive cleaning materials or chemical agents (alcohol,
petrol etc) to clean the heater.
5. There are no user serviceable parts inside the heater. Qualified service personnel only
should carry out any repairs.
