Basement Watchdog sump pump systems
Preparing the Basement Watchdog Standby Battery
The Basement Watchdog Big Standby battery is shipped dry and
vacuum sealed to retain freshness. Unlike other batteries, the Big
Standby battery will have 100% life when you are ready to install
it. Activating the battery is done by simply adding the 6 qt.
battery fluid pack (sold separately). Instructions are provided
inside the carton. An electronic version and an instructional video
are available online at www.BasementWatchdog.com. Once the fluid
is added, it will reach 85% charge within 15 minutes. The
remaining charge is put in by the Basement Watchdog backup sump
pump system. Basement Watchdog batteries are the only batteries
that will accommodate the fluid sensor allowing the backup pump
controller to sound an alarm when distilled water is needed.
