USER INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: The WindshieldWow! paddles contain extremely strong magnets and
are a finger pinching hazard.
CAUTION: DO NOT allow the paddles to directly contact each other as they will be
extremely difficult to separate. Store the paddles in the foam separator trays before
allowing them to be joined together.
I. First time use of your WindshieldWow!
a. Before using the product for the first time, please watch the First
Time Use video available at WindshieldWow.com or by scanning the
below QR Code:
b. General Guidelines for Using Your WindshieldWow!
1. Use your favorite streakfree liquid glass cleaner. Foam cleaners are not recommended.
2. Avoid cleaning windshields in the direct sunlight as the sun will evaporate your liquid
cleaner too fast, leaving streaky dirt behind before you can actually clean it.
3. For best results, always do a thorough wet cleaning first followed by a final dry cloth
buffing to remove all streaks. If your windshield is very dirty, multiple wet cleanings
must be done before the final dry cloth buffing. NOTE: Some residual moisture is desired
before the final dry cloth buffing.
4. Microfiber cloth will likely have lint and may also have oils from handling during
manufacturing. They may need to be washed before use to ensure best results. Follow
the washing instructions provided in these instructions.
5. Difficulty moving the paddles on your windshield (including chatter or stuttering of the
paddles when pushed) can be resolved with applying more liquid cleaner on the
windshield and/or moving faster. See our Trouble Shooting Tips on our website for more
helpful hints.
6. Avoid hitting the paddles into the side pillars, mirror pedestal or dash as this will cause
the paddles to separate. A general rule of thumb is always avoid the black tinted
perimeter around your exterior windshield. This denotes areas that have hard objects
behind on the inside.
II. Using the WindshieldWow!
STEP 1: Separate the two WindshieldWow paddles while in their foam
separator trays and set them on the vehicles hood. Place a stack of blue
microfiber cloths down nearby as well. Also, have your favorite bottle of
liquid glass cleaner handy. Open your car door windows nearest the
windshield you plan to clean.
STEP 2: Remove the external paddle (the one with a black vinyl capped grab
handle) from its foam separator tray and attach a blue microfiber cloth by
pushing the paddle’s white Velcro side onto the stack of microfiber cloths.
STEP 3: Liberally spray your cleaning liquid onto the exposed blue
microfiber cloth. (Feel free to also spray cleaner directly onto your
windshield at this time). Set the external paddle onto the exterior of your
windshield (preferably in the upper right corner near your open door
window).
STEP 4: Repeat STEP 2 but with the internal paddle (ie the one without a
grab handle). Feel free to also spray liquid cleaner to the interior of the
windshield as desired.
STEP 5: Reaching into your car, apply the internal paddle to the interior
windshield directly at the position of the external paddle that is already
sitting on the outside of your windshield. The two paddles will become
attracted immediately and will align by themselves.
STEP 6: Firmly grab the vinyl capped handle of the external paddle and
begin pushing and pulling it around to clean. Reach as far as you can to
achieve just beyond half way across your windshield. Making your arm stiff
and using your body to push and pull might make it easier if you find it
difficult. (Our optional Adjustable Extension Arm can help you reach
further and also make it easier to get better leverage to push/pull the
paddles.) NOTE: Please consult our General Guidelines in Section I. b. here or our
troubleshooting guide on our website for issues with this step.
STEP 7: When you believe you have sufficiently cleaned the first half of
your windshield on this first “wet cleaning”, drag the two paddles near to
your open car door window and pry the external paddle of the windshield
and with a separate hand, reach in and grab the internal paddle. Inspect both
microfiber cloths. If either of the cloths is excessively dirty, it is advised to
repeat the entire wet cleaning again until the cloths are no longer excessively
dirty. You can turn around the microfiber cloths to use the other side if
desired. Once you are satisfied that the wet cleaning step is no longer
picking up excessive dirt, proceed to STEP 8.
STEP 8: Immediately after completing your wet cleaning of the first half of
your windshield, perform a dry buffing cleaning of the same half of the
windshield by removing the wet micro fiber cloths and replace them with
new clean, dry micro fiber cloths and replace them on the windshield as
before. Thoroughly dry buff the windshield to remove all residual moisture.
NOTE: The dry buffing step should be performed with the windshield still having
moisture on it from the wet cleaning. Add a small amount of liquid cleaner if
needed prior to dry buffing. Alternative Dry Buffing Technique: Use a ¼ square of
dry paper towel added onto the top of the microfiber towels for each paddle and
perform the dry buffing with the dry paper towel. The dry paper towel will adhere
to the microfiber towel, however, if the paper towel slides off during buffing slightly
moisten the micro fiber towel to help the paper towel square stick better to the
microfiber towels.
NOTE: Use of the dry paper towel technique for dry buffing will cause the paddles
to chatter when too much moisture is on the windshield. This chatter will stop when
the windshield becomes dryer.
STEP 9: Repeat STEP 6-8 on the remaining half of your windshield.
III. Using the Adjustable Extension Arm (For Pro Kit Only)
STEP 1: Remove the black vinyl cap cover of the external paddle hand grip
by firmly twisting it back and forth and upward.
STEP 2: With the black vinyl cover removed from the hand grip of the
external paddle, attach the black hinged head of the extension arm to the top
of the hand grip and securing it with the large threaded knob by aligning the
black hinged head of the extension arm with the stainless steel alignment pin
facing down and into a small hole of the exposed grab handle. Screw the
large threaded knob into the center hole of the hinged head and grab handle.
Hand tighten.
STEP 3: Adjust the extension arm length by depressing the two detent pins
and sliding the arm to the length setting desired.
IV. Using the Haze and Film Eraser Sheets(Thin white foam
sheets)
Note: Haze and film eraser sheets are not intended for normal cleaning of your
windshield. They are intended for removal of stubborn haze and film only. Use only
on a generally clean windshield.
WARNING: Do not use on windows with aftermarket applied tint film. Use on this
type of tint may cause scratches on your tint film. Use of these sheets is acceptable
on factory applied tinted windows where tint is embedded into the glass.
STEP 1: Apply dry blue microfiber cloth to each paddle and apply a single
dry eraser sheet to each cloth.
STEP 2: Apply paddles to the inside and outside of windshield and use the
WindshieldWow! as normal.
NOTE: You can e these sheets either wet or dry. You will notice that if you use
cleaning liquid (or water), the sheets will stutter over the windshield as it cleans the
haze and film off your windshield. This is normal. This stuttering action helps
break up the haze and film. These sheets can be used multiple times. Hand wash
and air dry between uses.
V. Use and Care of Microfiber Cloths
Note: The Pro-Set comes with both Blue and Yellow Micro-Fiber cloths. The yellow
cloths are thicker and plusher. Use whichever ones work best for you. Use of the
thicker cloths (Yellow) will yield a lighter magnetic pull force between the paddles.
How to wash the cloths: Machine wash warm (Not hot) in mild detergent.
Tumble dry (low heat). DO NOT USE ANY DRYER SHEETS.
First time use: Before your first use, it is a good idea to wash the cloths as
oils from manufacturing and handling may be present.
