Please follow all the safety precautions listed below for safety
and to reduce the risk of injury or electrical shock.
Tie this blanket securely.
Use this blanket as an underblanket only. Not recommended
for futons or similar folding bed systems.
This blanket is not recommended for use with an adjustable
bed. If used on an adjustable bed, check that the blanket or
cord can not become caught or rucked.
Make sure that the heating area (wire element) on any side
of the bed does not hang over the edge of the mattress and
that the following instructions are read carefully before using
the blanket.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, insensitivity to heat, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instructions concerning the use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
Do not use with any part tucked in or folded.
Do not insert pins.
Only for human use; do not use for pets.
Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not
play with the appliance.
Do not use for an overly-long period of time at a high setting
as this may cause skin irritation or burns.
Do not use if moist or wet.
Keep controllers away from an open window.
Always ensure that your power supply voltage matches this
appliances rating label.
The exible power supply and switch must, as far as
practicable, be kept outside the bed.
Switch o at the power socket and remove the plug when
this blanket is not in use.
This blanket must be kept fully spread at all times during
use to avoid overheating. It is imperative that the blanket be
frequently inspected to ensure that this condition is being
maintained.
Bed clothes should not be folded back when the blanket is
switched on. Do not leave heavy objects on the bed when
the unit is switched on.
• Arrange the blanket so that it is not beneath pillows and/or bolsters.
Do not dry-clean this blanket. It is recommended you follow
instructions for localized soiling or hand washing if soiling occurs.
Persons suering from bed-wetting should only use products
specically designed for this condition.
Regularly inspect the supply cord, plug, controller and blanket’s
power connector, and the blanket itself for any damage. If found
damaged in any way, immediately stop using the blanket and
return to an authorized service agent for inspection.
There are no customer serviceable parts inside. Have the blanket
serviced by a qualied service agent should access to internal
components be required.
The blanket must not be used with a waterbed.
It is recommended that a qualied and registered person inspect
your electric blanket after each 3 years of use.
When storing, fold neatly but not tightly (nor rolled) in the original
packaging without sharp creases in the heating elements and
store where no other objects will be placed upon it.
Avoid pressing creases into the blanket.
This appliance is for domestic use only. Not intended for use
in hospitals.
Clean this blanket only as per the instructions supplied with
this blanket.

UNPACKING
Remove all packaging from the unit. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it,
please do so according to any local regulations.
The following items are included:
The controller has Braille markings, which
allow for easy temperature adjustment
in the dark.
The settings are :
0 OFF

Gentle Heat. Recommended for continuous use.

Medium Heat. Do not sleep with your
blanket on this setting.
3
Pre-heat. This setting is recommended for
pre-heating the bed 1 to 2 hours before use
with standard bedding. Do not sleep with
your blanket on this setting.
There is a light which illuminates when the blanket is switched on.
You may notice an odour when using the blanket for the rst time due to
the insulation material. This is harmless and will subside quickly.

On initial use, it is recommended that the blanket be set on “3” for
2 hours before sleeping and preset on “1” for continuous use. Presetting
on “3” will assist in drying out any moisture which has accumulated in
the mattress.
Ensure the blanket’s power connector is in a position that will not
allow water to drip onto any part of the power connector.
SECURING YOUR BLANKET
Tying down the electric blanket:
1. Place the blanket on the mattress, leaving room for the pillows.
Ensure the main cable is at the headrest end. (g 1).
2. Remove the plastic tags from the tie tapes.
3. Pass the middle tape under the mattress and through the middle blanket’s
loop on the opposite side. (g 2).
4. Wrap the corner tie under and around the corner of the mattress (g 3).
Thread the tie tape through the blanket loop and tighten. Repeat for the
remaining 3 corners.
5. The underblanket should now be secure (g 4).
OPERATION AND CONTROLS
Connect the control unit to the blankets power connector (1), plug the mains plug
into the mains socket (2).
CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Do not machine wash or machine dry
Use only the following instructions to clean the electric blanket:
Before cleaning, ensure the control is set to the “0” Position (OFF) and remove
the plug from the mains socket.
The heating wires within the electric blanket are fully water-proof.
Roll up each of the tie tapes before cleaning or storing and secure them to
avoid tangling.
Spot Cleaning
Sponge the aected area using a luke warm neutral detergent or mild soapy
solution. Follow this by sponging with clean water. Then hang the blanket
upright with the power connector at the top. Use pegs to secure. Note that
the pegs should not touch any wired area.
Hand Washing
Immerse the blanket only in a lukewarm neutral detergent or mild soapy
solution (do not allow the controller to come in contact with any liquid).
Soak for 5 minutes, remove from the solution, and gently compress the
solution through the blanket. Only rinse the blanket thoroughly in clean
lukewarm water, gently compress and drain the excess water from the
blanket. DO NOT WRING.
Drying
Hang the blanket upright from a clothes line (ensure the power connector
is at the top) and leave to dry. Secure using pegs on any area without wires.
DO NOT dry with a hair dryer or heater.
STORAGE
When not in use, pack the blanket in its original packaging for best protection
and store in a cool, clean and dry location. Avoid pressing sharp creases into
the blanket. Only store after the blanket is completely cold.
