PASCO CI-6688A Linear Motion Accessory
The PASCO CI-6688A Linear Motion Accessory is designed to be used with a PASCO rotary motion sensor, including the Rotary Motion Sensor (CI-6538) or the PASPORT Rotary Motion Sensor (PS-2120A). The accessory consists of a 21 cm rack that is inserted into the similarly-shaped slot on the side of the sensor. When a sensor is clamped to the rod clamp, the linear position of that sensor can be tracked using the Rotary Motion Sensor.
The teeth on the rack engage a gear inside the sensor such that, as the pulley on the sensor turns, the rack moves through the slot. This allows the sensor to measure the linear motion of the attached sensor in either direction.
