These instructions detail special on-site requirements for installation of
TruGroove recessed micro drywall fixtures in Chicago Plenum
applications. This instructions must be used in conjunction with
supplied TruGroove recessed micro drywall installation instructions.
Read all supplied installation instructions before installing fixtures in
drywall ceiling.
The steps shown below are to be performed with fixtures suspended just below the ceiling cutout approximately 12 to 18 inches below drywall ceiling level.

Complete power connections at wire cover. (connectors and flexible conduit by
contractor) and insert inside housing as shown.
Align wire cover mounting hole with hole in housing.
Gently push down and secure wire cover with supplied view. At non-power
locations use wire cover and supplied 7/8” plug. NOTE: Wire cover has factory
supplied gasket, no tape required for this step.

Suspend fixture as per the standard TruGroove recessed
micro drywall installation instructions.
If lowering of the fixture is needed, the release key can be
accessed from the inside.
ATTENTION: Install in accordance with national and local building and electrical codes.

These instructions detail special on-site requirements for installation of
TruGroove recessed micro drywall fixtures in Chicago Plenum
applications. This instructions must be used in conjunction with
supplied TruGroove recessed micro drywall installation instructions.
Read all supplied installation instructions before installing fixtures in
drywall ceiling.
Use a flat head driver or needle nose plier to snap off the safety cover on the
joiner bracket access.
This only needs to be done on ends that require joining.

The housing should look as above image on joining ends. Ensure that the broken
off sheet metal should not fall into the fixture.
Attach and secure joiner brackets as per supplied TruGroove recessed micro
drywall installation instructions. Using supplied tape, seal joint gaps on all sides
as shown above.

There are four locations per fixture for Chicago guy-wire bracket. Secure bracket using supplied screw at each location. Complete power connections. Or at non-power locations use wire cover and
supplied 7/8” plug (shown in image above).

supplied TruGroove recessed micro t-grid installation instructions.
Read all supplied installation instructions before installing fixtures in
ceiling.
Align wire cover mounting hole with hole in housing.
Gently push down and secure wire cover with supplied view. At non-power
locations use wire cover and supplied 7/8” plug. NOTE: Wire cover has factory
supplied gasket, no tape required for this step.
Install grid brackets at required height as described per supplied TruGroove
recessed micro T-Grid installation instructions. NOTE: 4 bracket required per
fixture.
Use a flat head driver or needle nose plier to snap off the safety cover on the
joiner bracket access.
This only needs to be done on ends that require joining.
