Assembly Precautions
1. Assemble only according to these instructions.
Improper assembly can create hazards.
2. Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and
heavy-duty work gloves during assembly.
3. Keep assembly area clean and well lit.
4. Keep bystanders out of the area during assembly.
5. Do not assemble when tired or when under the
influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
6. When not in use, the Flag Pole must be
stored in a dry location to inhibit corrosion.
Always keep out of reach of children.
7. Keep the Flag Pole clean.
8. Check for alignment and binding of moving parts; any
broken parts or mounting fixtures; and other condition
that may affect proper operation. Any part that is
damaged should be properly repaired or replaced.
9. Flag Pole must be installed in accordance with
local and neighborhood ordinances. Check
with local zoning authorities for guidelines.
Use Precautions
1. This product is not a toy. Do not allow
children to play with or near this item.
2. Use as intended only.
3. Inspect before every use; do not use
if parts are loose or damaged.
4. Do not exceed listed weight capacity.
Be aware of dynamic loading!
Sudden load movement may briefly create
excess load causing product failure.
5. Maintain product labels and nameplates.
These carry important safety information.
If unreadable or missing, contact

6. When unpacking, check to make sure
that all parts listed are included. If any
parts are missing or broken, please call
Harbor Freight Tools at the number on the
cover of this manual as soon as possible.
Flag Precautions and Rules
1. It is the universal custom to display the flag only
from sunrise to sunset on buildings and stationary
flagstaffs. However, when a patriotic effect is
desired, the flag may be displayed twenty-four hours
a day if fully illuminated during the hours of darkness.
2. No part of the flag should ever touch anything
beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, or water.
3. The flag should not be displayed on days
when the weather is inclement or extremely
windy. See installation cautions.
4. The flag should never be displayed with the union
down except as a signal of dire distress, in instances
of extreme threat to life, property, or national interest.
5. Do not fly a flag that is faded, torn or tattered.
When a flag is no longer fit for display it should
be disposed of in a manner consistent with
State and Local laws and ordinances.
