Star Trac E-SM Stairmill Installation Checklist

Use the checklist below to ensure proper installation of Star Trac Stairmill:

 Identify all parts and hardware from packaging are accounted for

 Verify the correct console is paired with the unit

 Verify all wiring leading up to the console is zip tied to the frame

 Ensure all bolts are tightened so specifications outlined in the installation manual

 Verify battery voltage is at least 6.2 volts and the unit is equipped with a power supply and is plugged

in and wall power has been turned “on” within maintenance mode

 Verify the chain tension is with specifications given by Star Trac (dumbbell test)

 Verify the alignment of the steps is true when rotating the steps. If it is not adjust upper/lower

sprockets, or step chains for true alignment

 Verify the neck is mounted accurately

 Ensure the pause switch is firmly connected into the console

 Verify the wireless heart rate board is in place and secured inside the console

 Verify the unit wakes up upon use and is initialized for proper function

 Ensure the auto fan is turned “on” and verify the proper function of the fan

 Verify default settings in the maintenance mode as outlined in the owner’s manual

 Verify the programs are functioning properly under load

 Test heart rate function in a program and in maintenance mode with hand grips and polar strap

 Test quick start and pause buttons are functioning properly

 Ensure proper shroud installation, check for loose shrouds and adjust as needed

 Level the unit to the floor and check for any wobble when set in place

 Overall visual & cosmetic inspection: All equipment is to be wiped down and checked for defects prior to

leaving the facility. Installer is to contact an authorized Core Health & Fitness representative while on site, if

there are any issues that have not been resolved.
