IMPORTANT INFORMATION
BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
The cleaner must be operated in accordance with these instructions and used only for domestic household cleaning to
remove DRY dirt and dust from household carpets, ooring and fabrics. This cleaner is not t to be used as an industrial
cleaner, and is not designed for the collection of vitreous building material including particle board construction products
and similar products such as wood/bres, cement, llers, bre glass etc or excessive or frequent sand. The infrequent pick-
up of these materials in these circumstances may be harmful to your cleaner and may void the manufacturer’s warranty.
WARNING: Electricity can be extremely dangerous. This appliance is double insulated and must not be earthed.
STATIC ELECTRICITY: Some carpets can cause a small build up of static electricity. Any static discharge is not
hazardous to health.
SAFETY WITH CHILDREN, ELDERLY OR THE INFIRM:
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
Electrical Requirements
This Hoover appliance is supplied with a double insulated battery charger which is only suitable for insertion in a 230V (UK
240V) socket outlet. Ensure that the charger rating label matches your voltage supply.
SAFETY REMINDERS
DO NOT let children play with the appliance or its controls. Please supervise the use of the appliance by older
children, the elderly or the infirm.
DO NOT use your cleaner outdoors, on wet surfaces or for wet pickup.
DO NOT pick up hard or sharp objects, matches, hot ashes, cigarette ends or other similar items.
DO NOT spray with, or pick up flammable liquids such as cleaning fluids, petrol, etc, or their vapours, as they
may cause an explosion or fire.
DO NOT replace the NiMH batteries with non rechargable batteries.
DO frequently clean the dust cup and filter assembly.
DO return the appliance to the charger base after use to recharge the batteries. Occasionally fully discharge the
batteries to obtain the maximum battery life.
HOOVER SERVICE: To ensure the continued safe and efcient operation of this appliance we recommend that any
servicing or repairs are only carried out by an authorised Hoover service engineer.

PREPARING YOUR CLEANER
1. Line up the handle to the main body of the cleaner and push into the main body until it locks in place. [4]
2. Line up the nozzle with the main body and rmly push into the main Body until the nozzle locks into place. [5]
3. Assemble the handheld unit [2] to the main body.
4. Place the cleaner on the Charging base. For rst use, charge your cleaner for 24 hours.
5. Plug the charger into the rear of the charging base.
6. The indicator light will illuminate when charging.
NOTE: To remove the nozzle press the nozzle release button and pull away from the main body.
NOTE: Use only the charger supplied with your cleaner to recharge.
IMPORTANT: When charging the cleaner the On/Off switch must be OFF.
Keep the charger plugged into the socket at all times. It is normal for the charger to become warm to the touch when charging.
If the operating times reduces after repeated use let the cleaner run until it stops then recharge for 24 hours, repeat this
monthly for best results.
USING YOUR CLEANER
Main cleaner
1. Turn the cleaner on by pressing the On/Off button. [1B]
2. Set the On/Off Turbo switch to the desired cleaning mode. [1C]
CARPET: Switch Turbo Nozzle ON (LED will be ON.)
HARD FLOOR: Switch Turbo Nozzle OFF (LED will be OFF.)
Handheld Cleaner
1. Press the Push and Go button and lift the handheld unit from the cleaner main body. {6]
2. Turn the handheld cleaner on by pressing the On/Off button. [2M]
ACCESSORIES
Rigid Extension Tube*, Crevice Tool and Dusting brush
All accessories are stored at the rear of the charger. All t directly onto the handheld unit.

CLEANER MAINTENANCE
Emptying the Dust Container
Hold the unit over a bin and pull the bin empty trigger [2N] to instantly empty the dust container. [7]
Cleaning the Filters
1. Release the handheld unit from the main body of the cleaner.
2. Press the lter access button [2O] and remove the handle section from the dust container. [8]
3. Use the lter handle to remove the lter and lter screen from the dust container. [9]
4. Wash the lter and screen in hand warm water. Once thoroughly dry return to the dust container.
5. Reassemble the handheld unit and return to the cleaner main body.
NOTE: Do not use hot water or detergents when cleaning the lters. In the unlikely event of the lters becoming damaged,
t a genuine Hoover replacement. Do not try and use the product without a lter tted.
Changing the Agitator
1. Using a coin turn the lock to the open position. [10]
2. Remove the agitator retainer.
3. Unloop the belt and lift the agitator out of the cleaner. [11]
4. Loop the belt aound the new agitator and return to its original position. Replace the agitator retainer and lock in place.
End of Product Life Battery Disposal
If the cleaner is to be disposed of the batteries should be removed. Used batteries should be taken to a recycling station
and not disposed with household waste.
IMPORTANT: Always fully discharge the batteries before removal.
1. Run the unit until the batteries run at.
2. Release the handheld unit from the main body of the cleaner.
3. Press the lter access button and remove the handle section from the dust container.
4. Remove 6 screws and open the unit. [12]
5. Remove the motor/battery housing and disconnect the cables.
6. Remove the batteries from the housing.
NOTE: Should you experience any difculties in dismantling the unit or for more detailed information about treatment,
recovery and recycling of this product, please contact your local city ofce, your household waste disposal service.

Your Hoover cleaner, in the case of domestic use,
has a two years parts and labour warranty against
product defects and failures when the product is
used in accordance with the terms and conditions of
this warranty statement.
This warranty commences from the original date of
purchase and is not transferable; please retain your
original proof of purchase for any warranty claims.
This warranty is valid only in the country where the
cleaner is purchased.
The cleaner must be operated in accordance with

is not fit to be used as an industrial cleaner, and is not
designed for the collection of vitreous building
material including particle poard, construction
products and similar products such as wood/fibres,
cement, fillers, fibre glass etc or excessive or frequent
sand. The infrequent pick-up of these materials in
these circumstances may be harmful to your cleaner
and may void the manufacturer’s warranty.
Accessories and consumables including dust bags
and filters, unless defective in manufacture, are not
subject to this warranty. In order to prolong the life
of accessories and consumables, regular care and
maintenance is recommended.
When properly used and cared for, your cleaner will
render excellent service; refer to the instruction
manual for further details, as misuse or failure to
follow the instruction makes this warranty void.
In the event of service or advice being needed,
please contact Hoover Floorcare Asia Pacific Pty

or on 1300 360 845, Monday- Friday 9am - 5pm
EST. The decision to repair or replace the cleaner is
at the discretion of Hoover Floorcare. If Hoover
Floorcare decide to repair or replace the cleaner, it
will do so at its own cost.
Hoover Floorcare is unable to accept responsibility
under this warranty for any repair work not carried out
by an authorised Hoover Service Agent or from the
use of non-genuine parts. If any part is no longer
available or manufactured, Hoover Floorcare will
replace it with a genuine functional replacement part.
This warranty does not apply to the cost of replacing
any parts of the product due to normal wear and tear,
alterations, improper installation, physical abuse,
misuse or accidental damage. Any transportation
costs involved in the repair of defective parts shall be
borne by the claimant.
If proof of purchase cannot be provided at the time of
a warranty claim or service, any work carried out on
the cleaner is chargeable.
The repair or replacement of the cleaner under this
warranty does not extend the original period of warranty.
Rechargeable NI-MH Batteries. The warranty on your
rechargeable NI-MH batteries (Batteries) is valid for a
period of 12 months from the original date of purchase
of your Hoover Freejet 3 in1 (verified by the original
proof of purchase receipt)and is not transferable. The
warranty for the batteries will be become void if, the
batteries are charged by any other equipment other
than the Charging Base included with your Hoover
Freejet, any of the seals of the batteries enclosure or
cells are broken or show evidence of tampering, the
batteries is used in any equipment or service other
than the Hoover.
The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition
to all other rights and remedies in respect of the
product as outlined under the Competition and
Consumer Act and other State and Territory laws.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be
excluded in the Australian Consumer Law. You are
entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure
and for compensation for any other reasonably
forseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to
have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to
be of acceptable quality and the failure does not
amount to a major failure.”
