PRODUCTDESCRIPTION
Many different kinds of s ensitive electrical equipment can be protected by an Uninterruptible Power
Supply(UPS)includingcomputers,workstations,processcontrolsystems,telecommunicationssystems,
salesterminals,othercriticalinstrumentation, etc.The purpose oftheUPSistoprotectthese systems
frompoorqualityutilitypower,completelossofpower,orotherassociatedproblems.
Electrical interference exists in many forms, causing problems in AC power, from lightning, power
company accidents and radio transmission motors, air conditioners, and vending machines. Protection
of sensitive electrical equipment is vital to protect against power outages, low or high voltage
conditions, slow voltage fluctuations, frequency variations, differential and com monmode noise,
transients,etc.
Toprevent powerline problemsfromreachingcriticalsystemscausingdamageto software,hardware,
and equipment malfunctions, the UPS maintains constant voltage, isolating critical load output and
cleaningtheutilityACpower.
DoubleConversionOnLineTechnology
A double conversion online technology UPS provides completely isolated, clean, uninterrupted single
phase power to your critical systems, while maintaining the batteries for their maximum potential. In
theeventthatthepowerfailurelastslongerthantheUPSbackuptime,theUPSwillshutdownavoiding
battery damage. When the input AC voltage returns, the UPS will automatically return online to
rechargethebatteries.

SYSTEMCONFIGURATION
The UPS device and the internal batteries make up the system. Depending on the site and load
requirementsoftheinstallation, certainadditionaloptionsareavailableforthesolution.
PlanningaUPSsystem,thefollowingshouldbetakenintoconsideration:
The total demand of the protected system shall dictate the output power rating (VA). Allow a

Backup time required will indicate the battery size needed. If the load is less than the UPS
nominalpowerrating,thenactualbackuptimeislonger.
