INSTALLING AND USING YOUR ISV-6 SOURCE SELECTOR
WITH VOLUME CONTROL
The ISV-6 six input stereo source selector with line level volume control, connects to the AUXILIARY
(line level) input of your preamp or receiver and expands it to handle six line level sources instead of just
one. It provides convenient selection of your new audio sources by rotating a switch instead of having to
handle a number of audio cables. Sources such as CD, DAT, DCC, Tuners and the Audio part of a Laser
Disc can be conveniently selected at a single location.
Phono level sources can also be selected with the ISV-6, the enclosure is well shielded and grounded.
However, it is not good practice to mix phono and line level sources in the same switchbox, crosstalk
might become a problem.
A suggested hookup diagram is shown on the back page. The sources shown are only suggestions, you
will probably own other equipment. Any line level audio source will work well into the ISV-6.
The rear panel RCA type phono jacks are numbered 1-6 and are selected by setting the front panel rotary
switch indicator to the corresponding number. The OUT to AUX., IN jacks connect to your amplifier
AUXILIARY or LINE IN inputs. The sources selected by the ISV-6 become available when the amplifier
input selector switch is operated to LINE or AUX.
All ISV-6 connectors are RCA type phono jacks. Readily available shielded phono cables with RCA
plugs should be used.
