1. Getting Started
1.1 Safety Precautions
Warning!
Always completely disconnect the power cord from your
chassis whenever you work with the hardware. Do not
make connections while the power is on. Sensitive
electronic components can be damaged by sudden power
surges. Only experienced electronics personnel should
open the PC chassis.
Caution!
Always ground yourself to remove any static charge before
touching the CPU card. Modern electronic devices are very
sensitive to static electric charges. As a safety precaution,
use a grounding wrist strap at all times. Place all electronic
components in a static-dissipative surface or static-shielded
bag when they are not in the chassis.
Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.

2 Installing Battery
Step 1. Remove the battery along with its cover from the accessory box.
Step 2. Position the LPC-15WD510 unit with its back facing up. Please unfasten and
remove the screws located on the back cover, as pictured below. The back cover can now
be removed.

Step 3. Unfasten and remove the 4 highlighted screws from the LPC-15WD510 unit. This
will remove the silver siding inside the unit and allow for easier installation of the battery.
Step 4. Unfasten the two highlighted screws to uncover the location of the battery

Step 5. Place the battery
Step 6. Make sure the battery socket is properly inserted into board slot
Step 7. Place the battery cover and fasten the two screws (removed in step 4.)

Step 8. Re-place back cover to finish
