4. Water tank:
§ Capacity 1.9 Liters
5. Grounds container:
§ After max. 16 portions (aroma MILD) lights the Light indicator and the Coffee grounds container
6. Easy Cappuccino / Hot water nozzle:
7. CLARIS filter:
§ There is no time measurement
§ After max. 2 months the filter capacity is reached. Monitor the elapsed time as shown on the date
plate on the cartridge holder.
§ Steam will also be calculated with an internal factor
7.1 Filter change:
§ Hold down the Filter button until the Filter indicator flashes
(the light segment by the switch will now flash)
§ Turn the switch in the anticlockwise direction
§ Rinsing of the filter will now begin (the light segment by the switch will now light up)
§ The water could be slightly discoloured, this is not harmful to health, nor does it affect the taste
§ Rinsing of the filter will automatically stop after approx. 500 ml, and the light segment by the switch
will then flash
§ Turn the switch in the clockwise direction. The Maintenance symbol flashes, the IMPRESSA heats up
and is once again ready for use.

11. Aroma strenght of 2 Cups:
§ Fixed (the time of 1 cup MILD is multiplied by the factor 1.7 but with a
max. of 9.3 sec.)
12. Program Coffee water:
§ The amount of water can be programmed by keeping the Rotary Switch pressed down for longer
and when the desired amount of coffee has poured out, press the Rotary Switch again to confirm
§ 2 Cups can also individually be programmed
§ Quantity: Coffee 15 ml ... 240 ml (0.5 oz ... 8.0 oz)
§ The amount of water can, after the grinding, adjusted by turning the Rotary Switch (Light segments)
13. Temperature:
§ Draw off temperature is measured at the outlet and is, depending on settings, between
80 °C ... 85 C (176 °F ... 185 °F)

16. Empty system completely:
§ Precondition: The IMPRESSA is ready for use
§ Place a receptacle under the frother.
§ Turn the Rotary Switch so that it points to the Steam symbol
§ Press the Rotary Switch to confirm your choice
§ The Steam symbol will continue flashing until the machine has warmed up
§ As soon as the required temperature has been reached, the light segment by the switch will flash
§ Turn the switch in the anticlockwise direction
§ Steam will now come out of the frother
§ Remove the water tank and empty it
§ Steam will continue to flow out of the frother until the system is empty
(the light segment by the switch will now flash)
§ Turn the switch in the clockwise direction to close
§ The Maintenance indicator and the Water Tank indicator both flash
§ Please ignore these indicators
§ Press the Rotary Switch to turn the machine off
§ Turn your IMPRESSA off at the power switch
