meitav-tec RS03 Owner's manual

  • Hello! I have reviewed the operating instructions for the Meitav-tec RS03 Room Sensor. This document explains how to adjust the temperature using the dial, with a range of ±4°C. I'm here to answer any questions you may have about using or installing this sensor.
  • How do I adjust the temperature for cooling?
What is the maximum temperature set point for cooling?
How do I adjust the temperature for heating?
What is the maximum temperature set point for heating?

The RS03 Room Sensor with temperature adjustment dial is designed
for use with Meitav-tec controllers.
The dial on the front of the Room Sensor allows the occupant to adjust
the temperature set point for a warmer or cooler temperature within the
range of ±4°C
Installation
The RS03 is designed for wall mounting in the room to be controlled. It should be located where the
occupant can easily use the controls. The built in temperature sensor is being used to measure room
temperature, therefore the sensor should be placed where the temperature is representative of the
general room conditions. Cold or warm air draughts; radiant heat and direct sunlight should be avoided.
General points to follow:
- Disconnect power to the main board before installing the unit.
- The standard height to install this unit is 1.5 meter (5 feet) from the floor.
Installation procedure:
A. Separate the front panel from back panel by pressing the tongue located in the top of the unit and
pull the back panel out.
B. Line the back panel up against the wall or flat surface. Install three screws as required.
C. Connect the T1-T1 terminals at the RS03 to the corresponding T-T terminals at the main controller.
D. Install the cove to the back panel; first the two tabs on the bottom and then the top tongue. Push
until tight against the wall.

Notes:
- Maximum wire length 30 meters.
- Maximum wire length of 90 meters can be used with a 2-conductor, 22-AWG shielded cable.
Connect the shield to the ‘C’ terminal at the main controller or to a tested ground.
- Do not run sensor wires in the same conduit or raceway with AC power cables.
- Do not pull or draw cable with a force that may harm the physical or electrical properties.
