This manual provides detailed procedures to install your new ARISTEL AV
32A Key Telephone System. Read this entire section before proceeding with
the actual installation.
SATRA requires the local telephone company (Telkom) to provide primary
line termination on the telephone lines terminated at customer’s site. Check
the entry point to see that a primary protection device (Lightning Protection) is
installed. If no such device is present please note that the system will not be
covered by our guarantee.
Also ensure that the frame to which the Lightning Protection is connected is
properly earthed.

The Key System Unit (KSU) should be installed in a clean, dry and secure location
accessible only by authorized personnel. The location must have adequate
ventilation and the temperature range within 0 ~ 45
o
C with a 10 ~ 90%
non-condensing relative humidity.
The installation site should have good lighting and sufficient room to mount the KSU
on a wall, along with the necessary connecting blocks and ancillary equipment such
as main distribution frame, standby power supplies, or UPS equipment.
Suffcient space for future expansion.
Anti Static measures where applicable.
Don’t make cable joints in inaccessable places like ceilings ect.
Provide adequate documentation of the cable layout,DP layout & MDF Layout.
Never work alone at a customers premises after hours (Ask for security presece.
Never risk your safety your life is precious.

Do not use 2
nd
hand Line termination Equipment ( Krone)
Calculate 30% Spare Capacity into the reticulation for future expansion.
Two dedicated (220VAC/50Hz) outlet with 10 Amp circuit breakers are required.
(
One for System Power and one for ancillary equipment eg: External Music for soldering iron
for technical use ect
)A separate earth is also required in addition to the third earth wire
on the AC circuit. If a music source or optional external paging equipment is installed
it must be connected to an separate AC circuit.
THE SYSTEM
POWER SUPPLY SHOULD BE CONNECTED TO A DEDICATED
AC
OUTLET.
