Quartz Pendulum Wall Clock
Operating Instructions
To Start the Clock: Insert (2) new AA batteries into the battery compartment, making sure to
align the (+) and (-) ends of the battery to match the description on the battery compartment.
Important Note: In some clocks both batteries face the same direction.
Remove the protective film from the pendulum and place the pendulum at the bottom of the
swinging pendulum arm. Ensure the arm is not hooked into the safety latch to the side of the bat-
tery compartment. If the arm is in the safety position, the pendulum won’t swing. To release from
the safety position, simply pull out so the pendulum is centered when the clock is upright.
To Set the Time: At the back of the clock, gently turn the knob clockwise until the desired time
is set on the front of the dial.
The quartz accuracy built into our clocks provide masterfully precise time keeping. It is recom-
mended that a battery inspection be made if the time becomes inaccurate, as this is an indication
of a low battery. When necessary, replace the battery for optimum performance. Standard AA
batteries will last approximately one year under normal clock operation.
Important Reminders:
Please do not use liquid detergent, abrasive material or solution to clean the clock. If cleaning is
warranted, a simple soft cloth is generally all that is necessary.
When cleaning glass, use a non-ammonia glass cleaner. Never spray the cleaner directly on the
clock.
Avoid exposing the clock to direct sunlight or high intensity lighting which may fade the finish.
IMPORTANT TROUBLESHOOTING NOTES:
Pendulum or clock hands not moving: If either the pendulum or clock hands are not moving –
check if one of the batteries is facing incorrectly and adjust as needed. In some models both bat-
teries face the same direction. This is the most common resolution for this issue.
Pendulum is bent: If the pendulum is bent, it can usually straighten by applying a bit of pres-
sure. If it does not straighten properly, please contact us for a replacement pendulum.
Pendulum is hitting the side of the clock: If the pendulum is hitting the side of the clock when
swinging there are a couple of simple solutions: A. The new batteries inserted may be more pow-
erful than anticipated, swinging the pendulum too strongly. Try non-lithium batteries or slightly
used batteries. B. Some weight can be added to the bottom of the back of the pendulum to reduce
its range of motion. This can be done in the form of a coin or lead tape. Please contact us for free
lead tape if needed.
