Animpropertrimangledoesnotonlyaffectthe
performanceofyourboat,butcanalsocauselossof
control,whichmeansdangerforthepeopleonboard.
Whilesailingthemotorshouldbeperpendiculartothe
watersurface,butthetrimanglecanbe3degreesto
5degrees.
Ifthetrimangleismadetoogreat,thebuoyancycentreofthe
boatwillshifttowardsthestern.Inthiscondition,andifthe
stabilitymomentatthebowislarge,theboatwilltendto
"porpoise".Ifthetrimangleisinsufficient,thebowmay"plough",
makingtheboatunstable.
Whentheboatisinstabletrimitremainsparalleltothewater.
Toadjustthetrimangleproceedasfollows:
-pushdownthefree-lockleverandtiltupthemotortillthe
firstautomaticstop;
-removetheadjusting-rodandrepositionitintheposition
whichallowstheappropriatetrimangle;
