Theengineoperatorshouldnotlethismindwander,orbe
distractedorinfluencedbyotherpeople,thingsoractions,(donot
smoke,eat,read,andsoon.)whilesteeringtheboat.
Usefuelsandoilssuitablefortheengine,whicharelistedinthe
"greasingchart".
Checkeverysooftentheoillevelandthefuellevel.
Stopthemotorbeforeeverykindofmaintenanceorcleaning

theanti-cavitationplateisbetweenthebottomoftheboatanda
levelof2cmbelowitanditisparalleltoit.
Ifthemounting-heightistoohigh,cavitationtendsto
occurandconsequentlytherewillbeafalling-offinthe
performanceandaprobableoverheatingofthemotor.

increaseandtherebyreduceengineefficiency.

Thetrimangleistheinclinationangle,thatshouldbegiventothe
motorinordertoobtainanoptimalperformancefromyourboat.
Animpropertrimangledoesnotonlyaffectthe
performanceofyourboat,butcanalsocauselossof
control,whichmeansdangerforthepeopleonboard.
Whilesailingthemotorshouldbeperpendiculartothe
watersurface,butthetrimanglecanbe3degreesto
5degrees.
Ifthetrimangleismadetoogreat,thebuoyancycentreofthe
boatwillshifttowardsthestern.Inthiscondition,andifthe
stabilitymomentatthebowislarge,theboatwilltendto
"porpoise".Ifthetrimangleisinsufficient,thebowmay"plough",
makingtheboatunstable.
Whentheboatisinstabletrimitremainsparalleltothewater.
Toadjustthetrimangleproceedasfollows:
-pushdownthefree-lockleverandtiltupthemotortillthe
firstautomaticstop;
-removetheadjusting-rodandrepositionitintheposition
whichallowstheappropriatetrimangle;
-slightlytiltupthemotor,unlockthetiltuplever,pushingit
upwardsandbringthemotorbacktotheverticalposition.
Improperlydistributedloadonboatorindifferent
positions,canaltertheidealtrimconditions.
Youmustadjustthetrimanglewhenthe

fixit,payingattentionthatthefixingnutsmustbeinsidetheboat.
Controlthetighteningofnutsandlevers.
Useonlybolts,nutsandwasherswhichareinthe
motorpacking.Ifyouneedtouseothercomponents,
besurethattheyareofthesamequalityregarding
thematerialandstrength.Tightentheboltsand

thehousingofthesamesheathing,thefixingcotterpin(5).
■Screwtheotherfixationplatesheathingretainertothebasinin
correspondenceoftheholeswhichareononesideofthegears
handle.Insertintheplatethesheathingretainermountedonthe
cablesofthegearscontrol.
■Screwcompletelythegearshandleconnectoron(2)thegears
controlcablesandmaketheregulationofthedistancebetween
thesheathingretainerandthegearcontrolhandleforthegas
controlcable.
■Insertthepinontheconnectorofthegearshandleinthe
housingwhichisonthesamehandle,pushtheringnutofthepin
androtatethepintoputtheretainerofthepinonthebeatofthe
handle.
■Insertinthesheathingretainerhole,whichcorrespondstothe
housingofthesheathing,thefixingcotterpin(5).
■Fixthepositionofthegearshandleconnectorsandofthegas
platewiththecounter-nuts
