mat, Dust Cover, 45-rpm adapter, Counterweight, Headshell.
VERY IMPORTANT!! - Do not forget to attach the rubber belt to the motor for correct operation. After
placing the turntable platter onto the turntable through the center spindle, move one of the large windows on
the Platter to the top right corner. Attach the rubber belt* around the motor
(see fig.3).
(*Rubber belt is already attached to the underside of the Turntable Platter.)
Assembly Turntable :

(a) Connect the lead wires to the cartridge terminals. The terminals of most cartridges are color-coded.
Connect each lead wire to the terminal of the same color.
WHITE (L+)..............Left channel+ BLUE (L-)..............Left channel-
RED (R+)..............Right channel+ GREEN (R-)..............Right channel-
(b) Install the cartridge to the headshell and tighten it with screws, provided with the cartridge.
6. Insert the headshell into the front end of the tonearm, then turn the lock nut counterclockwise with the
headshell firmly held horizontally.
7. Slide the counterweight onto the tonearm, twist it lightly and it will screw onto the rear shaft of the
tonearm.
8. Adjustment of horizontal “zero” balance and stylus pressure:
(a) Remove the stylus protector from the headshell, do not touch the stylus tip during the adjustment.
(b) Set the cueing lever to the lowered position.
(c) Release the tonearm clamp and lift the tonearm from the armrest to free it.
(d) Rotate the counterweight, until the tonearm is approximately balanced horizontally (floats freely).
(e) Refasten the tonearm with the tonearm clamp.
(f) Hold the counterweight stationary with one hand and rotate only the stylus-pressure ring, to bring the
number “0” of the ring into alignment with the center line on the tonearm rear shaft.
(g) Rotate the counterweight including the stylus-pressure ring counterclockwise, until the scale shows
the value, corresponding to the pressure of the stylus used.
Should you use a separate stylus, please follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
9. Set the anti-skating control knob to the same value as the stylus pressure.
10. Install the dust cover to the main unit’s dust cover hinges.
Always disconnect from electric mains power supply before cleaning or servicing.
Damages caused by non-observance are not subject to warranty.
7
Set Up and Operation
Before plugging the unit in, always make sure that the power supply matches the product specification
voltage. Do not attempt to operate a 120V specification product on 230V power, or vice versa.
Install this device on a flat surface.
Cartridge may pick up slight sound pressure or vibrations from the speakers coming along the floor or
though the air resulting in feedback or “howling” sound. Find a location that is very stable and vibration free.
The legs have functions for adjusting the height of the unit itself. Adjust the legs to stabilize the main body
horizontally.
Do not supply power before all components of the system are set up and connected properly.
Connections
1. Connect the power cord to the auxiliary power outlet on the rear panel of your amplifier, receiver or to a
AC outlet.
2. Connect the unit’s output terminals to the PHONO jack of your amplifier or receiver.
Output terminals Mixer (Receiver)
L (White) ---------------------------->L Channel
R (Red) -----------------------------> R Channel
GND (Spade) ---------------------> Ground
NOTE: Be sure to connect the ground terminals firmly to the mixer or receiver. Otherwise hum could be
created.
Operation
1. Turn the On/Off Switch clockwise to turn on the power. The speed indicator and the strobe-illuminator,
which is located beneath the On/Off switch, will light up.
2. Place a record on the slip mat. When playing a 45-rpm record with a large center hole, place the 45-rpm
adapter on the center spindle.

playing.
9. When the record has ended, raise the cueing lever, move the tonearm onto the Tonearm clamp.
10.Press the Start/Stop button to stop the platter from rotating. Turn the On/Off Switch counterclockwise
to turn off the power.
• SUSPEND PLAY - Set the cueing lever to “UP” position during play, the stylus tip of the cartridge will be
lifted from the record.
Changing the Speed
1. As long as the pitch control is in center “detent” click position, the turntable is operated at selected speed.
2. The speed can be increased or decreased by 10% by the pitch control.
An incorrect adjustment done on purpose, can also be used to have the turntable rotate extremely slow or
fast. The strobe dots at the edge of the turntable are used for speed monitoring.
8
Maintenance
The Turntable T-500 requires almost no maintenance. However, you should keep the unit clean.
1. Disconnect the mains power supply.
2. Clean the stylus periodically with a soft brush to prevent the accumulation of dust.
3. When sound becomes distorted or noisy, check the stylus. If the stylus is worn out, replace it with a new
one.
4. From time to time, the dust cover and turntable cabinet should be wiped with a soft, dry cloth. Do not
immerse in liquid.
5. Do not use alcohol or solvents. They may remove the paint or damage the luster.
Make sure the equipment is linked correct before supplying electric power.

(your turntable cable should have a grounding wire)
14. Line Inputs - Unbalanced RCA jacks for connecting stereo audio from line level sources such as CD
players, HiFi VCRs, cassette and reel-to-reel tape decks, DAT machines, laser discs, tuners, even
synthesizers or other mixing consoles.
NOTE: Plug mono audio sources into both Left and Right inputs using a "Y" cable connector.
15. Stereo Main Outputs - Unbalanced RCA connectors controlled by the Master fader.
16. Power Connector - Plug in power adapter here and check the voltage level to match your country’s
standard.
17. Power Switch - turn the unit off and on with this switch.

sources and processors. Next, connect your microphone and monitor headphones. Finally, connect the
stereo outputs to the power amplifier(s) and/or audio receivers such as tape decks. Plug your mixer into
AC power. Now you are ready to switch everything on.
