during operation. Position the cord in such a way that it
cannot be pinched or damaged.

wigs or hair pieces made of synthetic material.
Only use the appliance for private purposes.
This appliance is not intended for commercial use.
Follow all instructions in this guide, in particular the safety
instructions.

caused by improper use. The risk is borne solely by the user.
Important Cord Information
This appliance has a polarized plug. To reduce the risk of electric
shock, there is only one way this plug is intended to fit into a
polarized outlet. If the plug does not completely fit into the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
A short power supply cord (or detachable power supply cord)
should be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming
entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord.

Packaging materials should not be used as a toy.
Risk of suffocation!
Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating
instructions from the box.
Remove all packaging materials.
Clean all parts of the appliance as described in the section
entitled “Cleaning”.
Check the package for completeness and signs of visible damage.
If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a result
of defective packaging or during transport, contact the customer
service hotline (see 3 year limited warranty section).

Operation
Turning the appliance on/off and setting the
temperature
Connect the power plug to a power socket.
Press and hold the ON/OFF button 5 for approx. 2 sec-
onds to turn the appliance on. 356f (= 356°F / 180°C)
flashes on the display 2, and the appliance begins to heat
up.
Use the "+/-" 3 4 buttons to set a temperature between
212°F and 356°F (100°C and 180°C) in 18°F incre-
ments. The selected temperature begins to blink on the dis-
play 2.
Once the set temperature has been reached, the display 2
lights up continuously.
Press and hold the ON/OFF button 5 for approx. 2
seconds to turn the appliance off.
Disconnect the power plug and allow the appliance to cool
down.
Button lock
To prevent any accidental changes to the temperature setting
when straightening your hair, you can manually activate a but-
ton lock:
Press and hold the "+" button 3 for approx. 2 seconds.
The buttons are locked and the lock symbol lights up on
the display 2.
Press and hold the "+" button 3 again for approx. 2 sec-
onds to deactivate the button lock. The buttons are unlocked
and the lock symbol on the display 2 turns off.

Automatic shut-off
If you do not press any buttons for 40 minutes while the appliance
is on, the display 2 will begin to blink. After another five minutes,
the appliance will shut off automatically and the display 2 will
turn off.
Press and hold the ON/OFF button 5 for approx. 2 seconds
to turn the appliance back on.
Automatic shut-off is a safety function only and does not mean
you should not shut off your appliance using the ON/OFF
button 5!
Selecting the right temperature
Hair type Recommended

Colored blonde/highlighted hair 212–248°F /
100–120°C
Fine, colored hair 248–284°F /
120–140°C
Normal to strong, natural hair 284–356°F /
140–180°C
Always begin with the lowest temperature recommended for the
hair type to be treated.
If necessary, gradually increase the temperature until you reach
the ideal temperature setting.

Straightening hair
RISK OF BURNS!
Make sure not to touch your scalp or skin with the ceramic coating 1.
Excessive temperatures, excessively long contact with the hair or
too frequent straightening can damage your hair. Do not treat
the same strands of hair multiple times, especially at higher
temperatures.
Your hair should be clean, dry and free of styling products.
Products designed specifically for hair straightening are an
exception.
Carefully brush your dry hair.
Turn the appliance on and choose the right temperature.
Separate a strand of hair about 1.5 inches / 4 cm wide and
hold it at the end between the index and middle fingers of
your free hand.
Now, evenly run the appliance through this strand from your
scalp to the ends. Do not remain at any single spot for too
long.
Continue strand by strand until you have straightened all your
hair.
When you are finished, turn off the appliance and disconnect
the power plug. Allow the appliance to cool off before you put
it away.

Cleaning
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the power plug from
the power socket!
Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids during
cleaning!
RISK OF BURNS!
Allow the appliance to cool sufficiently before cleaning it.
PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not use any aggressive cleaning liquids or solvents.
They could attack the surface.
If hair gets tangled in the bristles of the appliance, carefully
remove it, for example with your fingers.
If necessary, wipe the appliance with a damp cloth.
Allow the appliance to dry well before using it again or putting
it away.
Storage
RISK OF BURNS!
Allow the appliance to cool sufficiently before storing it.
You can hang the appliance up by the hook 6.
If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended period
of time:
Clean the appliance as described in the "Cleaning" section.
Bundle the power cord and secure it using the provided Velcro
strip.
Store the appliance in a clean and dry location.

Disposal
Disposal of the appliance
Electrical appliances may not be thrown away as part of normal
household trash. If you can no longer use your electrical appli-
ance, dispose of it in accordance with the legal provisions appli-

are recycled and environmental pollution is kept to a minimum.

Disposal of packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during
transport. The packaging materials have been selected for their

3 year limited warranty
What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or failure to follow
the safety and maintenance instructions provided in the user
manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile parts
(such as switches, glass, etc.);
Improper use or transport;
Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire, water, etc.);
Tampering with the product (such as removing cover, unscrewing
screws etc.)
Consequential and incidental damages are also not covered under
