If turned on, the LEDs next to the switch are shining

and indicate that the circuit is powered with 12 / 220

Volts.

- The small green LED for shore power always

needs to be checked when connected to the

jetty. If you are plugged in shore power and

the LED is not shining, the batteries are NOT

being charged and you have to check the

main fuse.

- Water heater is only working when connected

to the shore power. If not used you always

have to turn off the heater to prevent

damage to the electronics.

- All boats are equipped with a power inverter

which is usually located behind the panel or

under the chart table. If used the inverter

draws electricity from the service batteries

even if there is no electronic devices

connected. If not needed the inverter has to

be switched off in order to prevent service

batteries from getting empty.

- Voltage indicator: always make sure the

voltage does not drop below 12V

Attention! If devices are not being used always turn

off the panel switch too!

(e.g. running the bilge pump continuously, the pump

mechanism runs hot and breaks down)

1.1 Panel

While doing the check in we will

give you the basic explanations

(main important functions) of the

instruments. Panel switches are

clearly labeled.

1.3 windlass fuse

In order to use the automatic windlass you

need to switch on the fuse behind the panel.

If the load is too high for the windlass the

fuse can pop out. In this case you need to

turn it on again and proceed with the

maneuver.

The Main battery switch is located in the port

stern cabin.

The main battery switch turns the complete boat

electrics on or off. If turned off, it will not be

possible to start the engine. Basically the switch is

only operated in emergencies. (e.g. fire)

Inverter on-/off- switch is located on the panel.

Please note: Only use 220V – devices when

needed and switch off the inverter afterwards.

2.1 fuel emergency valve

It is located in the starboard aft cabin, in the berth.

Only operate in case of emergency (e.g. fire)

2.2 gas valve inside

There are two valves which regulate the gas flow.

One is directly at the bottles (outside) and one is

located near the oven. If the oven is not being used

always make sure you have turned off the gas valve.

If gas switch is along the pipe = open

If gas switch is crosswise the pipe = closed

3.1 toilets

WC: By pumping slowly but steadily, the water intake or

exhaust is regulated.

Meaning of the lever key position (behind the pump

handle):

Lever key to the right: opening the hose, pumping out the

water (keep this position when not using the toilet pump,

to prevent the backward movement of water) The

seacock must be opened during this procedure!

Lever key to the left: sucks in the water while pumping.

Attention! If you haven’t eaten or drunken it, it should

not go down the toilet! NO toilet paper, sanitary napkins,

kitchen waste etc. Please use appropriate trash can with

plastic bag. Dispose of it on land only.

3.2 seacocks

The sea cocks for the galley are located under

the sink in the saloon. The sea cocks for the

toilets are located under the sink in the toilet.

All sea cocks are labelled and show positioning

for open/closed.

Handle of the valve is 90° to the hose  closed

Attention! If sea cocks are closed the toilet

pump is not working

If not used always keep closed.

2.3 gas valve outside

By turning the switch you can open or close the gas

valve. Always keep the valve closed if kitchen is not

used.

All boats are equipped with 2 gas bottles. If you need

to change gas bottles make sure to place the thread

exact.

4.1 Engine room

The Phoenix Team services the engines of all

boats on a regular basis. In order to provide a

safe and fail free use we recommend you do a

short visual check every day before you start

your trip.

Clients can check the oil & water as well as the

fan of the engine by themselves.

The locations of the main things which can be

inspected are shown during the Check In at the

base.

Every boat is equipped with necessary spare

parts (oil filter, water filter, fan belt, etc.).

In case of an emergency we recommend to call

the base of origin (Marmaris, Fethiye, and

Turgutreis

3.3 waste water tank

All toilets are equipped with a waste water tank.

The valve is located under the sink.

The tank is located above the water line. Due to gravity the

inside is flushed out if the valve is opened. When main

valve is closed the pumped waste water will stay in the

tank. When valve opened again the tank will empty by

itself.

3.4

fresh water valves

It is located under the berth in the port stern cabin.

When starting the boat trip you have to make sure that one

tank is closed and one is opened. If one tank is empty, stop

immediately all water taps (Danger of air intrusion in the

water pumps) and switch on the 2

tank. Close the first one.

Note:

If the tank is empty you must turn off the fresh water pump.

As soon as you have switched the tanks you can turn on the

pump again. The pump will take about 1 min in order to

build up enough pressure in the hose again.

4.2 engine Start

1.) place throttle bar into neutral gear position by

pushing the button on the bar inside (Note: the button

will stay inside as long as the gear is in neutral position).

1.1 now you have to push the throttle bar forward (still

in neutral gear position = Button pushed inside)

2.) push the “power” button in the upper left corner to

start the ignition

3.) after 10 sec. an acoustic signal indicates that the

engine is ready

Push the “Start” button on the upper right corner

Engine Stop:

1. push and hold the lower right button to stop the

engine

2. push the “start” button on the upper right again

to turn off the ignition

NOTE: if the ignition is not turned off the

batteries will be worn down! You can control the

on/off status by checking the display on the

engine panel

You must never speed up the boat over 2300 RPM

Attention!

When shifting from

forward to reverse leave the throttle a

few seconds in neutral position so that

the gear shift doesn´t break!

When catching a rope or something

similar in the

propeller, immediately switching to

neutral and stop the engine. Dive

overboard and free the rope!

5.1 outside Instruments

The basic functions of the chart plotter,

autopilot, wind and speed will be

explained during the Check-In at the

base. For further details on the different

settings we recommend to read the

user guide Raymarine ST 70 Tridata or

contact the manufacturer.

5.2 Chart plotter outside

The chart plotter is located at the

cockpit table. The manual can be

viewed Raymarine C 90 W

Note: By pushing different

combinations on the display you

may enter the set up and change

settings!

7.1 Gangway

(with pin connection)

The gangway is stored along the side of the boat.

Attached to the stanchions are two stainless steel

handles which are used to store the gangway.

During insertion of the gangway, always ensure

that the connecting pin is in the hole of the

provided locks.

6.1 anchor locker +

windlass

We recommend dropping the anchor manually. This is due the fact that while driving the boat

backwards the speed of the boat is greater than the speed with which the chain is automatically

dropped down.

Always attach the locker door with a rope to the reeling to prevent injuries.

Be cautious when dropping and lifting the anchor and make sure it does not hit the boat.

After you have anchored we advise to relieve the power from the chain acting on the windlass by

attaching a rope to the chain and fixing the rope to a nearby cleat.

While lifting up the anchor you have to ensure that the chain is not hitting the hull. Further it is

important that the windlass is NOT pulling the boat but the boat is moving towards the direction of

the chain. Therefore you can gently use forward throttle to relieve the windlass a little bit.

Attention:

You must never touch the chain without gloves and always wear boat shoes while working with the

anchor. The length of the chain is labeled every 10 meters. The color code is written on the inside

of the anchor locker door

7.2 shower outside

All boats have a shower outside in the cockpit

or at the back of the boat. Please always be

careful when pulling out the water hose for

showering

7.3 + 7.4 Outboard + Dinghy

You must only start the outboard engine

while in the water! Never start the engine

out of the water because this way there is

no cooling and therefor engine damage can

occur.

You must never pull the dinghy behind the

boat. This will cause the plastic parts to rip

and will damage the dinghy. After use of the

dinghy you must store it on deck again.

Damages to the dinghy are not being

covered by insurance but must be paid by

the client themselves.

8.1 Bilge / Bilge

pump

The automatic bilge pump is located at the deepest

spot on the boat. Usually this is in the saloon under

the wooden floor.

The manual bilge pump is located outside in the

cockpit close to the steering wheel.

9.1 safety equipment

Life jackets for every crew member are supplied during the handover of the yacht. Make sure you are

familiar with the use of the life jackets before you start your boat trip.

At Check-Out we ask you to leave all life jackets inside the saloon or cabins. This way our Team can easily

check the inventory. The life raft is stored in the port side compartment in the cockpit.

10 INFO

If you have any damage during your trip which need to be fixed by 3rd party providers

you need to inform the base in advance. Without informing the base no costs for repair

will be covered!

The biggest energy consumption results from the fridge. You can control the

consumption with the temperature regulator inside the fridge.

When entering the Turgutreis D-Marin (G-jetty) we recommend driving the boat

backwards because there is limited space to manoeuver the boat once you are inside.

Before you can visit Greek territory you have to check with the base and get permission.

Entering Greek islands with the boat is only possible if you have cleared out first.
