Using your appliance

Overview
This appliance includes some or all of the following features.

Use
Loadingthebaskets(g.B)
u Squeezethehandles(4)toopenthebasketandputa
slice of bread or a sandwich in the basket (5).
u Release the handles to clamp the bread in place.
Switchingonandoff(g.A)
u Place the baskets in the slots (2).
u To switch the unit on, turn the timer dial (1) clockwise from
the off position (0) to the required setting. Increasing the
time will result in darker toasted bread.
u The timer dial switches off automatically after the set time
has expired.
u Do not turn the timer dial back by hand. If you want to
switchtheunitoffbeforethetimerhasrundown,remove
the plug from the socket. The timer will continue to run
down.
Removingthetoast
Warning! The metal frame of the baskets can be hot.
u Takethebasketsbythehandlesandremovethemfrom
the toaster.
u Squeezethehandlestoopenthebasketandtakeoutthe
toasted bread.
Cleaning and maintenance

Beforecleaningandmaintenance,removetheplug
from the socket and allow the appliance to cool.
u Slide out the crumb tray (3) from the unit and empty it.
u Removeanycrumbsfromtheunitandreplacethecrumb
tray.
u Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use any
abrasiveorsolvent-basedcleaner.
u Use a mild detergent solution to wash the baskets.

liquid.

disposed of with normal household waste.
