4) You should measure the actual voltage output of the secondary. If the output is not fully loaded you may read
a higher voltage than the circuit board can handle. Do not apply power without main air supply provided.
Warranty does not include malfunction due to clogged valve. Main air port is filtered with the supplied 80-
100 micron integral-in-barb filter. Periodically check the filter for contamination and flow reduction, and
clean with a brush or replace if needed (Part # PN004).
The surface between the manifold and pressure transducer is a pressure seal. Minimize stress between the circuit
board and the manifold by holding the manifold in one hand while installing pneumatic tubing onto the fittings,
and use care when removing tubing to avoid damaging fittings or moving manifold.
This unit requires at least two cubic inches (minimum) of branch air line capacity to operate without oscillation.
Field calibration voids warranty.
CHECKOUT
Connect LonWorks network twisted pair. With power off, connect power to 24V (+) and C (-).
Supply power and the LED power indicator will light and the green LED will blink once rapidly and turn
off. This indicates the PNP100 is functioning properly. Any other LED action indicates a malfunction.
Apply minimum and maximum input signals and measure response. Response between the minimum
and maximum values will be linear, therefore software algorithms are easy to derive. The PNP100
can be interrogated over the LonWorks bus for the actual output pressure.
The green LED will illuminate when the service switch is pressed to identify the node to the network,
and anytime a WINK command is received.
The PNP100 incorporates two valves and is not a constant bleed controller. Its branch exhaust flow
and response time is not limited by an internal restrictor and is similar to its load rate.
If power to the PNP100 is lost, the PNP100 will not exhaust air from the branch line.
The PNP100 is ideal for long branch line runs, multiple actuators, and outside air dampers because
of it’s 1800 scim capacity.
PROTOCOL
To control output pressure :
NV2 network input SNVT_press nvi01Pressure
This variable controls the output pressure on the PNP100.
Units : kilopascals (kPa)
Range : 137.9 kPa - 689 kPa
To monitor output pressure :
NV3 network output SNVT_press nvo02Pressure
This variable monitors the output pressure of the PNP100
Units : kilopascals (kPa)
Range : 137.9 kPa - 689 kPa
Conversion Factor: .145 PSI = 1 kPa
1 PSI = 6.894 kPa
