QUICK START MANUAL
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing MICRODIA iRock 5-in-1 MP3 Player. IRock 5-in-1 MP3 Player is a tiny, ultra-light MP3
player with built-in FM radio, radio/voice recorder and a USB flash drive. You can record up to 8 hours (for 128MB)
of voice messages, notes and conversations and play your MP3 or WMA for up to 12 hours with only one AAA
battery. With the built-in USB flash drive, you can simply Drag-&-Drop your favorite music entertainment to the
player.
1. BASIC FUNCTION

Power On
Once a battery is inserted, press and hold the [PLAY] button for 3 seconds to turn on the MP3 Player. The LCD
screen will displays a message [MP3 PLAYER] and show the MP3 Menu as following.

Power Off
Press and hold the [PLAY] button for 3 seconds or it will automatically switch off based on your system setup (Off
Time can be up to 1 minute).
Enter the Menu
Enter different menu by pushing the [MODE] button. For main menu, press and hold the [MODE] button for 2
seconds. For submenu, just press [MODE] button once to select/enter the function.
You can move the [MODE] button left or right to navigate the menu items.
Adjust the Volume
[VOL +] or [VOL-] button for adjusting volume increase or decrease
File Delete
For MUSIC/VOICE/FM RADIO files, press the [MODE] button once and the following items will display.

After you choose [DELETE] or [DELETE ALL] from submenu, you can move [MODE] button left or right for [YES]
or [NO]. Then press [MODE] button once to confirm.
NOTE: Press [PLAY] button to stop music playing before delete any files.
Hold Function
All buttons will be disabled when sliding [HOLD] button in the arrow direction.
2. MUSIC MODE (MSC)
Play Music
Press [PLAY] button for music playing.
Stop/Pause Music
Press [PLAY] button once.
Select Song
Move [MODE] button left or right to navigate next or previous songs.
Fast Forward
Move [MODE] button to right for Fast Forward.
Rewind
Move [MODE] button to left for Rewind.
Music Mode Menu
Press [MODE] button once to enter Music Mode Submenu. The following menu items will appear on the screen.

*NOTE: While playing music, press [MODE] button once and then choose [REPLAY]. Then flickering [A-
] appears.
Shift the [MODE] button to r for start to repeat.
3. RECORD MODE (REC)
Start Recording
Press [PLAY] button once to start recording.
Pause Recording
Press [PLAY] button once to pause recording.
Stop/Save Recording
Press and hold [PLAY] or [MODE] button until [SAVING] message shown on the LCD screen.
4. FM RADIO MODE (FM)
Manual Search Frequency Mode
Move the [MODE] button left or right to search the FM frequency manually.
Automatic Search Frequency Mode
Press the [MODE] button once and then select [AUTO SEARCH] by moving the [MODE] button left or right. Press
the [MODE] button once again to start searching the FM frequency automatically.
Store the FM Channels
Press [MODE] button once to enter the submenu. Then select [SAVE] by moving the [MODE] button left or right.
Press [MODE] button once again to save the preset FM channels.
Select the Preset FM Channels
After saving the preset FM channels, you can press [PLAY] button to change the stored FM channels.
Record FM Channel
Press [MODE] button and select [RECORD]. Press [MODE] button once again to choose [REC TYPE]. It provides
different Record Type (File Size) from 32K to 384K BPS. After setting up the Record Type, press [PLAY] button to
start recording the FM Channel.
* There are 4 different Record Types you can select. They are 32KBPS, 64KBPS, 192KBPS and 384KBPS.
384KBPS is the highest quality but less recording time and 32KBPS is the lowest quality but longer recording
time.
Pause Recording FM Channel
Press [PLAY] button once to pause recording.
Stop Recording FM Channel
Press and hold [PLAY] or [MODE] button until [SAVING] message shown on the LCD screen.
5. SYSTEM SETUP (SYS SETUP)
Inside the [SYS SETUP] mode, the following submenu will displays:

Clock
Press [VOL+] or [VOL-] once to start
changing time and date. Move [MODE] button to adjust the time and date.
Press [VOL+] or [VOL-] to enter.
Backlight
Adjust the backlight turn on time from 0 to 28 seconds.
Light Colour
You can select the background color that you like. There are 9 modes of background color. They are Yellow,
White, Blue, Green, Cyan, Red, Purple and Seven Colors.
Language
There are 25 different languages available. They are English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese,
Korean, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Thai, Swedish, Danish, Czech,
Polish, Slovakian, Hungarian, Romanian, Turkish, Slovenian, Hebrew and Croatian
Power Off
Off Time: You can set the power off time from 0 to 60 seconds. Sleep Time: you can set the sleep time from 0 to
120 minutes.
Replay Mode
You can set Replay Mode as Manual Replay or Auto Replay.
Contract
You can adjust the brightness of the LCD screen from 0 to 15.
CONNECTION TO PC
To enable the best connection, please insert one “AAA” battery before connecting PC and iRock 5-in-1 MP3 Player.
Online Mode
You can set the Online Mode as Normal Only, Encrypted Only and Multi Drive.
Memory Info
You can check the free/used space of the MP3 Player.
Firmware Version
You can check the installed firmware version of your MP3 Player.
Firmware Upgrade
It is an interface for firmware upgrade but we do not recommend this action. It may take a risk to damage your
player than getting extra features.
