Windows 10 Installation Steps
These installation instructions will work for the following models:
- Ultima (17-Series)
- Maximus III
- Maximus Plus
- Megatron II
- Cyber-PC (17-Series)
- Cyber-PC Pro (17-Series)
Preparation
You will need the following:
- A USB Flash Drive (2.0 or higher, and at least 16GB)
- Your device’s Firmware (which can be found HERE)
- A PC that is Windows 7 or higher
- A .RAR file-extracting program (WinRAR, 7-zip, etc.)
1.) Format the Flash Drive as NTFS and name the drive WINPE
2.) Download and extract the firmware for you device and copy the extracted files into the flash drive
3.) With the drive formatted and the files copied, It should look like one of the following:
Installation
1.) Make sure your device is powered off. Connect the USB to your device.
2.) Once everything is connected, power on the device while pressing F7 on the keyboard.
3.) A Blue Screen will Pop Up that states “Please Select Boot Device”, select your usb flash device (for this example,
“UEFI KingstonDataTraveler 3.0PMAP”) and press “enter”
4.) Installation will begin. Process may take more than 15 minutes.
5.) When installation is complete, you may be prompted with: “x:/windows/system32>____”
6.) If prompted, type in “exit” in the blank space “x:/windows/system32>exit” then press “enter”
7.) Take USB out of tablet.
8.) “System Preparation Tool” will pop up, Click “ok”
9.) Windows device is ready for use.
