Coomber CD User manual

  • I've reviewed the Supplementary Instruction document for Coomber CD Recorders, which covers models including 3600 series 3600, 6000 / 6100 series 6000, and 6000 / 6100 series 6100. This document explains how to correctly eject and 'fix' CDs so they can play on conventional CD players. It emphasizes using the appropriate eject button and selecting the 'fix' option and also covers adding more tracks later if needed. Feel free to ask me any questions you have about this guide or the devices it describes.
  • How do I ensure a CD plays on conventional CD players?
Can I add more tracks to a CD after ejecting it?
What happens if I use the drive button to eject a CD?

We often get asked how to fix a CD for playback
on an ordinary CD player.
The answer is to always eject your CD from the drive
using the appropriate eject button as shown below.
DO NOT USE THE DRIVE BUTTON TO EJECT A CD.
Otherwise, you will NOT be given the
option to “fix” the CD.
When ejecting a recordable CD-R
or CD-RW using the appropriate
button the screen will display a
message (shown right).
Select Fix” so that the
the CD can be played on
most conventional CD players.
Select Eject” to remove the CD
without fixing. You will not be able to
play the CD in conventional CD players,
but you can add tracks to the CD at a later date.
You can keep adding tracks until:-
you have recorded 99 tracks
filled the CD (around 80 minutes) or,
you fix the disc on ejection.
CD-RW discs can be fixed for playback on conventional
CD players. They can then be erased for future recording.
