1. Safety Guidelines
General
1. It is extremely important that you read through,
understand and follow all instructions in the
Owner’s Manual. Failure to comply with the safety
instructions may result in injury or death to the
user and/or the passenger(s) of the carrier.
2. Always comply with local safety regulations and local
Road Traffic Act. The safety regulations and/or Road
Traffic Act may restrict the use of the carrier in some
way.
3. This carrier is intended for carrying children during
daylight hours and travelling on light traffic roads,
sidewalks and smooth paths. Luggage may be added
in the designated area as long as it doesn’t affect the
children’s comfort or safety.
4. If the bicycle trailer is to be used in conditions of poor
visibility, it must be equipmed with lighting devices
complying with the local traffic regulations. Two white,
non-flashing, lights must be installed on the tubes in
the front corners of the trailer and two, non-flashing,
red lights must be installed on the folding tubes in the
back of the trailer.
5. The passengers and cargo load must not exceed the
limits outlined in the specifications section.
6. Never carry dangerous cargo, fuel, heavy or sharp
items.
7. Always secure the luggage in the carrier. Unsecured
luggage may move thus making the carrier less
stable.
8. Only light items are to be placed in the inside pockets
or rear pocket. No cargo or load should be placed on
the seat or in the area forward of the seat.
9. The carrier is intended to be pushed by people or
towed by a bicycle. It must never be towed behind
motorized vehicles or animals.
10. No child should be in the carrier when connecting to
the bicycle, converting the carrier with the different
conversion kits, or when carrying out maintenance or
repair work.
11. Do not use on icy roads or in inclement weather.
12. Collapse and extend the carrier with care, there is a
risk of pinching your hand or fingers while doing so.
13. Before each use, check the tire pressure. The
pressure must be around 50 psi (3.45 bar).
14. Before each use, check that the wheels are fully
engaged.
15. Before each use, check that the folding locks are fully
engaged.
16. Regularly check all safety-related items for damage.
This includes; wheels, hitch arm, hitch, hitch plate,
stroller/jogger arms, handlebar, frame and plastic
components. If any damage is found, stop using the
carrier immediately until the part has been replaced
by your Authorized Dealer.
17. The recommended maintenance work is essential for
the durability and safe operation of the carrier.
18. Only use original replacement parts. Repairs and
replacements have to be carried out by an Authorized
Dealer.
19. Never make alterations, additions or modifications to
the carrier. This will make the carrier unsafe and
render the warranty invalid.
20. Regularly check for tears in the fabric. Fabric tears
represent a high safety risk. If you find a tear in the
fabric, stop using the carrier immediately and contact
your Authorized Dealer.
21. Installation of any equipment that does not carry the
approval of the manufacturer is not allowed. This
includes car seats, seat supports, luggage racks, etc.
22. Do not use the carrier at temperatures below -7°C
/20°F and do not store it below -20°C /-4°F as the
windows may become damaged and/or break. Tires
should not be stored in contact with windows as
window discoloration may result.
Transporting Children
1. You must comply with the weight and height limits
outlined in the specifications section of this user’s
manual.
2. Children should never be left unsupervised in the
carrier and should be checked on frequently to make
sure they are safe and comfortable.
3. Children should be clothed appropriately for the
weather.
4. If only one child is being carried in a two-seater
carrier, the central sitting position must be used.
5. Children and cyclist must wear approved helmets
(CPSC or CE approved).
6. Children must be at least 6 months old and be able to
sit up unassisted in order to be transported in the
carrier.
7. No part of the child’s body, clothing or toys should
come into contact with the carrier wheels or the rear
wheel of the towing bicycle.
8. Always use the carrier’s cover to protect children from
insects and/or flying debris.
9. Never carry animals together with children.
10. Make sure the child does not bounce, fidget or lean
out of the carrier.
11. Fasten seatbelts correctly around the child and
correctly adjust to the height of the child.
12. Always have the parking brakes engaged as children
get in and out of the carrier. The parking brakes
prevent the carrier from accidentally rolling away.
Bicycle Trailer
1. Towing a trailer will negatively influence the braking
distance of the bicycle. Avoid sudden braking,

swerving and obstacles. Never exceed 24 km/h (15
mph), and slow down to less than 8 km/h (5 mph)
around corners, inclines and on rough roads.
2. Make sure your bicycle is suitable for towing a trailer
(reference the owner’s manual of the bicycle or ask
your bicycle dealer).
3. When towing the carrier, comply with the maximum
allowable full load for the bicycle (reference the
owner’s manual of the bicycle or ask your bicycle
dealer).
4. Pulling a trailer alters the response and performance
of the bicycle. Before using the trailer for the first time,
experiment towing the trailer in an uncongested area
until you become familiar with the altered response
and performance. Only cyclists who are experienced
and strong enough may tow bicycle trailers. If cyclists
wish to carry children in the bicycle trailer, they must
be 16 years old or over.
5. Make sure the safety flag is installed and all reflectors
are installed properly and clean before each use.
6. Before each use, check that the spring button of the
hitch arm is fully engaged.
7. Before each use, check that the hitch is properly
attached to the bicycle.
8. Make sure that the hitch arm is correctly coupled up
and secured to the bicycle.
9. Make sure that your bicycle is in safe operating
condition. We recommend you have your bicycle
regularly serviced by a reputable bicycle retailer.
10. Do not install any device on the bicycle that may
come in contact with the hitch plate, hitch, hitch arm
or any other part of the carrier. This includes
kickstands and other parking devices.
11. When towing behind a bicycle, the stroller/jogger arm
must be removed or installed in the storage position.
12. On right-hand turns or manoeuvres, the radius of the
turn is restricted. If the rear wheel of the bicycle
comes into contact with the hitch arm, there is a risk
of the cyclist falling and/or damaging the hitch arm.
13. When towing behind a bicycle, make sure the
handlebar is locked in its lowest rear position. This will
reduce potential for interference with obstacles and
provide extra side/rear protection for the passengers
in case of an accident.
14. Permissible hitch arm load is 1 to 9 kg (2 to 20 lbs).
Position any luggage in the carrier properly to obtain
the correct hitch arm load. To estimate the hitch arm
load:
Put a bathroom scale next to the hitch arm of the
loaded carrier.
Stand on the scale and note the displayed weight.
Hold the hitch and lift up the hitch arm to around
30 cm (12 inches) above the ground.
The new displayed weight should be 1 to 9 kg (2
to 20 lbs) above the previously displayed weight.
15. Permissible rear wheel size on the towing bicycle is
26 or 28 inches (700cc).
16. Bicycle trailers pulled by an EPAC can be restricted
by law. Please verify with local laws.
Stroller/Jogger
1. Before each use, check that the stroller/jogger arms
are properly installed and the handlebar is locked at
the proper adjustment.
2. Do not park on inclined paths.
3. Do not park on a street or any other place that might
be in harm’s way.
4. Always engage both parking brakes when the
stroller/jogger is stationary.
5. Never use the stroller/jogger for inline skating.
6. Never load the handlebar with cargo or any other
item. This may cause the stroller/jogger to tip
backward.
7. Never use the parking brake to slow down the
stroller/jogger.
8. When pushing the stroller/jogger, you must wear the
safety wrist-strap around your wrist.
9. The stroller is intended for walking pace only (less
than 5 km/h (3.1 mph)). The jogger is intended for
slow jogging (less than 10 km/h (6 mph)).

2. Overview of Carrier and
Components
Note: Any reference to orientation (i.e. left or right) is from
your point of view while standing behind the carrier looking
forward.
2.1 Package Contents
Carrier, two 20” wheels, hitch arm, hitch plate, two
Strolling/Jogging casters, flag and owner’s manual.
2.2 Serial Number and Date of
Manufacturing
The Serial Number sticker and Date of Manufacturing sticker is
placed on the tube behind the Seat.
2.3 Extending and Collapsing the Carrier
Note: Extending and collapsing is easier with the wheels
are removed and the handlebar rotated all the way forward.
Extending:
Procedure:
1. Hold the lower frame with one hand while lifting the upper
frame with the other hand.
2. While supporting the upper frame with one hand, use the
other hand to pull the handle on the cargo tube until it can’t
move anymore.
3. Verify that the lock pins are engaged into the holes in the
rear tubes (two pins on each side).
Warning:
- Before each use ensure that the lock pins are engaged
properly.
- While extending the carrier, your hands should be placed
where specified. Hands/fingers placed on other locations
may get pinched.
Collapsing:

Procedure:
1. Move the suspension levers all the way forward (highest
adjustment).
2. Move all lock levers (on both sides) to the released position.
3. Support the upper frame with one hand.
4. Push the handle on the cargo tube inward.
5. Place your hands on the top of the upper frame and push
downward until the carrier is fully collapsed (make sure the
side windows are pushed inside the carrier while
collapsing).
Warning:
- While collapsing the carrier, your hands should be placed
where specified. Hands/fingers placed in other locations
may get pinched.
2.4 Wheel Assembly
Procedure:
1. Press on the rubber cap in the wheel centre.
2. While pressing on the rubber cap, fit the wheel axle into the
axle adapter and push all the way inward.
3. Release the cap and pull the wheel outward (i.e. away from
the carrier) to verify that the wheel is securely attached into
the axle adapter.
4. To remove, press on the rubber cap in the wheel centre and
pull the wheel outward.
Warning:
- Before each use, ensure that the wheels are securely
attached into the axle adapter.
2.5 Handlebar
Adjusting:
Procedure:
1. Make sure that the levers for both handlebar adjustment
brackets are rotated all the way toward the front of the
carrier (i.e. set to open).
2. Move the handlebar to the desired height.
3. Rotate the levers of both handlebar adjustment brackets all
the way toward the back of the carrier (i.e. set to lock).
4. Verify that the handlebar is locked into the desired position
by trying to move the handlebar up and down.
2.6 Seat and Seatbelts
Note: When one child is seated in the carrier, the child must
be seated in the centre of the seat.
Seat
Your carrier is equipped with removable seat padding (bottom
and back). When replacing the seat padding in the carrier, make

sure it is positioned correctly so it does not obstruct any
seatbelts.
Fastening seatbelts
Procedure:
1. Start by releasing all buckles (shoulder harness, crotch
belts and waist belts).
2. Fasten the shoulder harness to the crotch belt and place
the shoulder harness forward of the seat.
3. Place the child on the seat such that the crotch belt is
between the child’s legs.
4. Move the buckles on the seat-back until they are just above
the shoulders of the child.
5. Lift the shoulder harness over the child’s chest and adjust
the crotch belt so that its crotch buckle is on the child’s
lower chest region.
6. If the shoulder harness is equipped with adjustment loops,
adjust the shoulder harness straps until both straps are in
the loops aligned with the top of the child’s shoulders.
(When using lower loops. the upper portion of the shoulder
harness has to be bent and inserted behind the child’s
shoulder – reference provided pictures).
7. Fasten the two upper buckles of the shoulder harness into
their corresponding buckles on the seat back.
8. Adjust the crotch belt and shoulder harness to become tight
over the child’s chest.
9. Fasten and adjust the waist belt. When the waist belt is
tight, the buckles must meet in the centre in front of the
crotch belt.
Warning:
- When one child is seated in the carrier, the child must be
seated in the centre of the seat.
- Before each use, inspect all buckles and make sure all belts
are threaded properly through the buckles.
- Before each use, make sure the seatbelts are correctly
fastened around your child and are correctly adjusted to the
size of your child.
2.7 Climate Control
Weather cover
Your carrier is equipped with a three weather covers.
- The transparent cover is held by zippers on the sides. It can
be rolled up and secured in the elastic loop at the top.
- The mesh cover is held in place by velcro tape at the lower
end. The cover can be rolled up and secured in the elastic
loop at the top.
- The short cover can be stretched forward and held by the
velcro tapes on the sides of the carrier to function as a

sunscreen or be stretched backward and secured by velcro
at the back of the cargo compartment to function as a rear
cover. The cover can be rolled up and secured under the
mesh cover, at the top, for storage.
2.8 Storage Compartments
Your carrier is equipped with a rear cargo compartment and two
small pockets inside the carrier.
2.9 Adjusting the Suspension (where
available)
Tips:
- The suspension adjustment scale is intended for best
general performance. Depending on the conditions of your
use (i.e. kit used, load, terrain, duration, etc.) you may set
the suspension softer or harder.
Procedure:
1. Move the adjustment lever so that the weight in the carrier
(i.e. children and cargo – not including the empty weight of
the carrier) falls within the range displayed behind the
suspension lever.
Warning:
- Before each use, make sure both suspensions are adjusted
equally and properly to the weight added to the carrier
(children and cargo).
2.10 Operating the Parking Brake
Your carrier is equipped with an independent parking brake for
each wheel.
Procedure:
1. Rotate the brake lever all the way toward the back of the
carrier to engage the brake.
2. Make sure both parking brakes are engaged when the
carrier is stationary.
3. Rotate the brake lever all the way toward the front of the
carrier to disengage the brake.
4. Make sure both parking brakes are disengaged before
using the carrier.
Warning:
- Always have the parking brakes engaged as children get in
or out of the carrier. The parking brakes prevent the carrier
from accidentally rolling away.
- Always engage both parking brakes when the
stroller/jogging stroller is stationary.
- Before each use, make sure both parking brakes are
disengaged.
3. Kits
3.1 The Cycling Kit
The Cycling Kit is supplied as standard with your carrier. It
includes the hitch arm, hitch plate, flag, two wheel
reflectors (installed), two front reflectors (installed), two
rear reflectors (installed) and 4 installed LED lights (not
available on all models).

Installation
Procedure:
Hitch Arm:
1. Rotate the carrier’s handlebar all the way toward the back
of the carrier then lock the handlebar adjustment brackets.
This will provide additional side and rear protection in case
of an accident.
2. Tip the carrier backward so it is resting on its back.
3. Insert the hitch arm in the left receiver so that the hitch is
toward the centre of the carrier, the guides on the hitch arm
are aligned with the openings in the receiver and the button
is facing outward (reference the provided pictures).
4. While depressing the button, push the hitch arm all the way
into the receiver.
5. Twist the hitch arm all the way up (toward the top of the
carrier).

6. Verify that the button is protruding through the hole in the
outside face of the receiver.
Hitch Plate:
Attaching to a bicycle with a quick-release axle
1. Remove the quick-release axle off the bicycle’s rear wheel
2. With the washer (if one existed) and one spring assembled
onto the quick-release axle, insert through the hitch plate
and then through the left side of wheel axle.
3. Insert the second spring and engage the nut of the quick-
release axle.
4. Orient the hitch plate so that the hitch plate sleeve is
vertical.
5. Tighten the quick-release axle by following the
manufacturer’s instructions.
6. Make sure that at least 4 full threads are engaged. If your
bicycle’s quick-release axle is too short, you have to replace
it with one that is long enough (ask your specialized bicycle
dealer).
Attaching to a bicycle with a threaded solid-axle
1. Remove the nut and spacer (if one exists) on the left side of
the rear wheel.
2. Install the hitch plate over the threaded solid-axle making
sure the hitch plate sleeve is facing upward.
3. Reinstall the spacer (if one existed) and tighten the nut
properly by following the manufacturer’s instructions (i.e.
assembly instructions and torque).
4. Make sure that at least 4 full threads are engaged.

Coupling to a Bicycle:
1. Bring the hitch over the hitch plate aligning the hitch holes
with the hitch plate sleeve.
2. Push the hitch pin down through the hitch and hitch plate.
3. Secure the hitch pin by pulling the hitch strap down over the
lower end of the hitch pin.
4. Loop the back-up safety strap around the bicycle’s chain
stay (loop enough times until strap length is reduced
enough).
5. Attach the clip (at the end of the back-up safety strap) to the
D-ring located on the hitch arm.
Flag:
1. Assemble the two flag rods together.
2. Insert the end of the flag rod through the opening in the
cover, through the tube sleeve and into the flag sleeve.

Removal
Procedure:
1. Remove the flag and disassemble the two flag rods.
2. Release and remove the back-up safety strap from around
the bicycle frame.
3. Pull the rubber tab off the lower end of the pin.
4. Pull the pin completely out of the hitch.
5. Pull the hitch off the hitch plate.
6. Tip the carrier backward so it is resting on its back.
7. Press down the button, of the hitch arm, with your right
hand.
8. While the button is pressed down, twist the hitch arm all the
way down (toward the floor of the carrier).
9. Pull the hitch arm out.
Adjusting the Fit of the Hitch Arm
The receiver has 4 bolts and nuts for fine tuning the size of
its opening.
Procedure:
1. Tighten (or loosen) each screw 1/4 a turn then test fit with
the hitch arm until desired fit is achieved.
Warning:
- You must attach the back-up safety strap before use.
- Do not install any device on the bicycle that may come in
contact with the hitch plate, hitch, hitch arm or any other
part of the carrier. This includes kickstands and other
parking devices.
- When storing the hitch arm in the cargo compartment, make
sure it is secured well and there is no chance it will come in
contact with the wheel.
3.2 The Strolling/Jogging Kit
The Strolling/Jogging Kit is supplied as standard with your
carrier.
Installation
Procedure:
1. Tip the carrier backward so it is resting on the handlebar.

2. Insert the right wheel arm in the right receiver so that the
wheel is to the side of the carrier, the guides on the wheel
arms are aligned with the openings in the receiver and the
button is facing outward (reference the provided pictures).
3. While depressing the button, push the wheel arm all the
way into the receiver.
4. Twist the wheel arm all the way toward the center of the
carrier.
5. Verify that the button is protruding through the hole in the
outside face of the receiver.
6. Repeat the preceding two steps for the left wheel arm.
Safety Wrist-Strap
The safety strap is installed on the middle section of the
handlebar. You are required to secure the carrier to your wrist
when used as a Stroller or Jogging Stroller.
Warning:
- Failure to use the safety strap could result in the carrier
being separated from you.
Removal
Procedure:
1. Press down the button with one hand and while the button
is pressed down, twist the wheel arm all the way away from
the center of the carrier.
2. Pull the wheel arm out.
Storage
The left caster can be installed, wheel up, in the right receiver
for storage. The right caster can be stored in the storage
compartment.
Strolling vs. Jogging
- At the front of each wheel arm, there is a lever (on top of
the plastic bracket). When strolling, pivot the lever toward
the “unlock” sign on the side of the bracket. This will allow
the fork to spin freely. When jogging, pivot the lever toward
the “lock” sign on the side of the bracket. This will lock the
fork and prevent it from spinning. You can lock the fork
while it is rotated all the way forward or all the way
backward based on your preference.

4. Service, Care and Storage
4.1 Wear and Tear
Your carrier has components that are subject to wear and tear
from normal use. The severity of the wear and tear depends on
the frequency and conditions of use in addition to the type and
frequency of service and maintenance.
4.2 Hitch Arm, Hitch and Hitch Plate
- Inspect the hitch arm, Hitch and Hitch Plate regularly for
any sign of damage (e.g. bending and cracks).
Warning:
- Never use a hitch arm, Hitch or Hitch Plate that has any
sign of damage and have it replaced immediately.
4.3 Wheels
- Keep the wheel axles clean. Lubricate the retaining balls
and push-button pin to prevent seizing.
- Have the wheels maintained regularly by your dealer, at
least once a year.
4.4 Fabric
- Inspect the carrier for any signs of damage or tear in the
fabric. Contact your authorized dealer for repair or
replacement of the fabric.
- Hand wash fabric with mild soap or detergent and warm
water.
- Continuous exposure to the sun will cause the fabric to
fade.
- Keep the fabric dry and well ventilated to prevent mildew.
- Clean windows with damp soft cloth.
4.5 Storage
- Store in a dry and well ventilated location to prevent mould
and mildew.
- Avoid storage under direct sun light.
- Store at temperatures above 0°C (32°F). At temperature
below -20°C (-4°F), the windows material becomes brittle
and may crack.
- When storing the wheels between uses, it is best to hang
the wheels outside the carrier as prolonged contact
between the tires and the windows/fabric could result in
staining the windows/fabric.
4.6 General Maintenance
- Keep the carrier and all its components clean and dry.
- Use proper protective material to preserve the tires.
- Clean and lubricate moving components periodically.
