Kit Contents
1Remove Hex Key from right hadn
cover. Use the Hex Key to remove
the endcap screw.
Important Warning

attachment could result in an automobile accident, and could cause serious bodily injury or death to you or to others.
• You are responsible for securing the racks and accessories to your car, checking the attachments prior to use, and
periodically inspecting the products for adjustment, wear, and damage. Therefore, you must read and understand all
of the instructions and cautions supplied with your Prorack product prior to installation or use.
• If you do not understand all of the instructions and cautions, or if you have no mechanical experience and are not
thoroughly familiar with the installation procedures, you should have the product installed by a professional installer
such as a roof rack specialist.
2Remove the endcap by pulling on the endcap pin and
pushing on the top of the endcap. Use a side to side
motion to assist.
Repeat on other crossbar.
Installation for Heavy Duty Crossbars
3Use key to remove covers. 4Use Allen Key to reverse adjusting screw 10
turns.
5Press adjusting screw and slide the leg
completely off the crossbar. 6Use the Allen Key to fully undo the adjusting
screw.
7Remove adjusting screw and store in a safe
place.
Repeat for both leg assemblies.
8Use the Allen Key to lift the toggle assemble.
9Remove the complete toggle assemble. 10 Store items away in a safe place.
11 Place packers on the leg.
Repeat on both leg assemblies.
12 Insert the capscrew and washer together
through the back of the leg.
13 Assemble the nut onto the capscrew.
Do Not Fully Tighten.
14 Place leg assemble back onto the crossbar.
Ensure the nut goes into the bottom slot of
the crossbar.
Repeat on other crossbar.
15 Carefully hold the endcap assembly and reinsert back onto
the crossbar.
Use the Allen Key to secure the endcap screw back into
place.
16 Using the Allen Key supplied with this kit,
fully tighten. (5Nm (3.7 fi t.lb))
When setting this height packer kit onto the
vehicle, this screw will need to be adjusted
to suit the vehicle width.
