STEP-BY-STEP ASSEMBLY
MOTORCYCLE
Build the
from
The parts supplied in this first stage
of Pack 1 indicate the quality of the
finished model. Paint, decals and
chromium plating are already applied.
A. Petrol tank
B. Front bracket
C. Rear bracket
D. Fixing screws (x 3)
E. Filler cap
STEP 1 The blue front bracket has a crank in the
middle and one end is more curved than the other
(shown in inset). Fit it this way round, as shown.
STEP 2 Use the tip of a crosshead screwdriver to
pick up one of the screws provided.

STEP 3 Screw the bracket to the mounting
hole in the tank.
STEP 4 The red rear bracket ts this way round
(shown in inset), with the straight end facing the tank.

STEP 5 Use another screw to x the red bracket to
the mounting hole in the tank.
STEP 6 The two brackets should look like this.

STEP 7 The ller cap has a bayonet tting, with two
lugs that t into two notches on the tank ller.
STEP 8 Fit the cap to the tank, and give it a quarter
turn to secure it.

parts for the front wheel and mirror.
You can t the tyre to the wheel now,
but keep the mirror and its ttings until
a later stage.

STAGE 2: THE FRONT WHEEL AND MIRROR

STEP 1 Take the wheel together with
the tyre from the third stage.

STEP 2 Ease the solid rim of the wheel
into the well in the centre of the tyre.
STEP 3 Work your way around the wheel, easing
the tyre over the rim as you go.

The parts received here include a working LED and its wiring, pre-installed inside the headlight shell.

STEP 1 Take the headlight glass.
Its markings are not symmetrical,
and it goes this way up. Note the
different-sized notches on the left
and right.
STEP 2 The headlight rim has two
small lugs on the inside that match
the notches on the glass.

STEP 3 The outside of the rim
has this clamp detail moulded in
at one point. This will go at the
bottom of the nished headlight.

STAGE 3: THE HEADLIGHT STEP4STEP5
STEP 8 The headlight shell has two large tangs
(arrowed), which t into matching recesses in the
rim. It doesn’t matter which way up these go.
STEP 9 Fit the rim over the two tangs, and give it a
slight twist in the direction of the arrow to lock the
headlight assembly onto the shell.
STEP 4 Fit the glass into the rim, with the glass
curving outwards. Make sure that the notches and
lugs shown in Steps 1 and 2 line up with each other.
STEP 5 Ensure that the lugs go into the notches so
that the glass ts ush.
STEP 6 The headlight reector has two notches in
the rim that match the notches in the glass.
STEP 7 Line up the notches in the reector with the
lugs on the rim, in the same way you did with the
glass in Step 4, and press it all the way into the rim.

Build the

STEP 14 Take the left-hand bracket and t it in the
same way as in Steps 10–13.
STEP 13 Use the T-bar spanner provided to tighten
the screw rmly.
STEP 11 Line up the mounting holes on the bracket
and the headlight shell.
STEP 10 Holding the light with the clamp from Step
3 on top, align the right-hand bracket this way up.
STEP 12 Take one of the xing screws and t it into
the hole. Screw it in nger-tight.
