Shimano BL-C900 is a brake lever designed for use with V-brakes. It is compatible with V-brake-compatible brake levers such as the BL-C900/ ST-M510/ BL-M510 brake levers. The BL-C900 is not compatible with mode switching-type brake levers such as the ST-T400 / ST-T300 / BL-C101-L, which are only for use with V-brakes with power modulator, cantilever brakes, and roller brakes. The BL-C900 is designed to provide superior wet weather braking performance and modulation, and it is recommended for use with the Shimano BR-C900 V-brake and CU Mr brake cable for optimal performance.
