RM 2 and RM 3 • Installation Guide
Overview
This guide provides instructions for an experienced, professional installer to mount the Extron TLPPro1220MG
(RM2) or TLPPro1520MG (RM3) into a standard 19-inch equipment rack. These rack mounting plates require 6U
(RM2) or 8U (RM3) of vertical space. The diagram below shows how to install the TLPPro1220MG, using an RM 2
plate. The process for installing the TLP Pro 1520MG with the RM 3 is identical.
ATTENTION:
• The installation must always be in accordance with the applicable provisions of National Electrical Code
ANSI/NFPA 70, article 725 and the Canadian Electrical Code part 1, section 16.

1. Secure the RM2 to the rack (
1
)
with the provided #10-32 rack
screws (4).
2. Secure the adapter plate to the
RM 2 (
2
) with the provided
#8-32 screws (4).
3. Tilt the touchpanel and lower it
over the hooks (
3
) of the adapter
plate.
Swing the bottom of the
touchpanel inwards so that it lies
at against the adapter plate with
the tongue at the bottom of the
adapter plate sitting in a groove in
the bottom of the touchpanel.
4. Secure the touchpanel to the
adapter plate using the Phillips
pan head #6-32x¾inchlength
screws (2) provided with the
touchpanel (

).
The screws are attached to the
bottom edge of the touchpanel
just under the groove where the
bottom of the adapter plate ts.
Tighten the screws against the
bottom edge of the adapter plate.
5. Run cables to the rack and
connect them to the back of the
touchpanel.
