Molding & Trim is one of the most demanding
applications for a sealant
MULTI-PIECE trim & crown molding can have 5 or more moving parts that
must be sealed.
NEW WOOD will shrink as it dries after installation, causing cracks
in seams.
SEASONAL CHANGES cause wood trim to contract in the winter (heat use)
and expand in the summer (humidity), stressing seams year-round.
“SHINERS” are unsightly glossy spots that appear when some flexible sealants
are painted.
SYNTHETIC TRIM (especially PVC, polystyrene & composite) is a growing
application and requires a sealant with outstanding adhesion.
