The hose handle is equipped with a three position switch. In the center position power to the central
vacuum unit and or to the electric power nozzle is not present so neither will operate. Pressing the switch to
the right will activate the central vacuum power unit only, no power will be present to activate the electric
power nozzle. This position is typically used when cleaning without the electric power nozzle. Pressing the
switch to the left will activate both the central vacuum power unit and provide power to the electric power
nozzle. This position is typically used when using the electric power nozzle on carpeted surfaces.
In the central vacuum industry there are several dierent types and spacing of the plug on the face of
the hose handle. The 90298 has what is termed a ush plug position. This is the most common type used
in central vacuum. It is designed for use with a power wand whose corresponding plug is set to exactly
mate with this hose when the hose and wand system are assembled. It is important to conrm the wand
conguration is this type before selecting this hose. This can be accomplished by looking at your former
hose to see if the plug face is ush to the handle surface. If you are unsure in your selection we recommend
