a. ts_menu was modified to read the idle timeout in seconds either from TMOUT, or from the command line,
using the option “-t”. Both of them specify the number of SECONDS after which ts_menu will die if no key is
pressed. If the "-t" option is used, the value of TMOUT is overwritten.
XIV. Hot key to exit SSH sessions
a. This feature allows the user to set a hot key like ^z to exit SSH sessions to the serial ports, instead of
using “~~.” or “~.”.
XV. Emulation of IBM3151 terminals for web access to the serial ports
a. The Java applet that was used in OnSite version 1.1.0 (Java Telnet Application (JTA) 2.5) was substituted
by Mindterm 3.1.2, another Telnet and SSH terminal emulation applet, which was modified to support
IBM3151 terminals. Mindterm also supports the emulation of the following terminal types: xterm, linux,
scoansi, att6386, sun, aixterm, vt220, vt100, ansi, vt52, xtermcolor, linux-lat, at386, vt320, vt102 and
tandem6530.
XVI. Configuration of the terminal type for each serial port
a. This feature will allow the user to emulate different terminal types when accessing each serial port via
web (using Mindterm).

Known Issues
==================================================================================
This release contains the following known issues:
1. Web browsers Netscape® 8.1 and Microsoft® Internet Explorer 7.0 are not supported in OnSite 3.1.0. In
addition, it is only possible to open KVM viewer sessions with Internet Explorer.
2. Cyclades OnSite v1.1.0 was the last OnSite firmware version that was compatible with AlterPath®
Manager (APM) v1.4.1.
3. When the upgrade operation is performed from DSView 3 software, make sure to review the Operation
Results. It is also recommended that the DSView 3 status polling is disabled when firmware upgrade is
run. NOTE: DO NOT re-boot the unit if OnSite firmware upgrade fails. It may result into flash corruption.
4. Changing the authentication type to/from NIS will require the restart of the following processes: WEB
and SSHD.
5. OnSite firmware version 3.1.0 will not allow users to manage the power devices through OSD and KVM
sessions.
6. ServerTech Power Devices must be upgraded to version 5.3f or later in order to be supported by OnSite
version 3.1.0.
7. It is not possible to set a different authentication method for each KVM port. This is available only for the
serial ports. It is possible to configure one authentication method for all the KVM ports that is different
from the method used to access the appliance. However, this is used only for direct access to the port.
8. PPP options must be double-checked when a modem connected to the serial port is used.
9. It is not possible to set a different authentication method for PPP connections to OnSite auxiliary ports
using the appliance GUI or CLI (the default is local authentication). This configuration is available only
through the plug-in.
10. CLI is not able to configure ports AUX1, AUX2 and built-in modem.
11. When a user launches a serial session to access PM from Serial Port, the PM's "name and heading"
scatter across the screen.
12. [SHIFT] can’t be used as a Sun keyboard modifier key.
13. Option GlobeTrotter PCMCIA card speed is limited to 28800 bps in GPRS mode.
14. It is not possible to use authentication LdapDownlocal - Radius to access serial ports configured for
telnet protocol via ts_menu.
