Intended use
The car charger adapter is a retrofit part for
connection to the on-board power socket
(cigarette lighter), and is only intended for
charging and operating USB devices.
The car charger adapter is only suitable for
vehicles in which the negative pole of the
battery is in contact with the body.

The Qualcomm® Quick ChargeTM
3.0 ( ) symbol indicates
that the technology reduces
charging times for compatible devices
plugged into the red USB port of the car
charger adapter. Compatible connected
devices are recognized automatically and
supplied with the appropriate output
voltage and output current by the car
charger adapter.
The Smart Fast Charge
technology reduces
charging time significantly
for compatible devices. It automatically
sends a signal to compatible connected
devices that they are using the maximum
available charging current.
Any use other than the intended use is
considered to be improper. The device is not
intended for use in commercial or industrial
environments.
The manufacturer accepts no responsibility
for damage caused by improper use.
The risk is borne solely by the user.

storing it in a vehicle. When vehicles are
not in use for longer periods of time, it
can lead to extreme temperatures inside
and in the glove compartment. Remove
electrical and electronic devices from
the vehicle.
■ Do not use the device while steering a
car or any other vehicle. This poses a
risk to other drivers.
■ When using the device, including the
connected devices, make sure it will not
interfere with steering, braking or using
any other vehicle systems (e.g. airbags),
or block your view while driving.
■ Ensure that no moisture or liquids pene-
trate the device.

service providers or the customer service
department. Improper repairs may put

First use
► The total power consumption of all
devices connected to the two USB ports
1/2 must not exceed 5.4A. Make
sure that the power consumption of your
device is not higher than 3A when using
USB port (red) 1. When using USB port
(white) 2, the power consumption of
your device must not exceed 2.4A. For
more information, refer to your device

► The maximum current output of the car
charger adapter is 5.4A. The maximum
current output of USB socket (red) 1 is
3A. The maximum current output of USB
port (white) 2 is 2.4A.
USB port (red) 1 supports the charging
standard Qualcomm® Quick ChargeTM3.0
(compatible with Quick ChargeTM2.0 and
Quick ChargeTM1.0). If the connected
device is compatible with this charging
standard, it is automatically recognized by
the car charger adapter. The car charger
adapter charger provides the appropriate
output voltage or output current, so the
device can be recharged faster. Devices
without this charging standard can also be
charged normally via USB port (red) 1.

♦ Insert the car charger adapter into your
vehicle’s 12/24V port. This is generally
the on-board power socket (cigarette
lighter) on your car’s dashboard. Many
vehicles have a second port in the back
seat area or in the trunk. 24volt batteries
are used in tractor trailers or on boats, for
example.
♦ The power LED 3 lights up white,
indicating that the car charger adapter
is on. The power LED 3 lights up even
if no device is connected. Depending on
the vehicle type, the ignition may have to
be turned on first.
♦ Connect your device to the car charger
adapter. Use the original USB cable of
your device to ensure optimal charging.
♦ If necessary, turn on your connected
device for further use.

Keep an eye on the charging status on
your connected device.
♦ Disconnect your connected device from
the car charger adapter when charging
is completed.
♦ Disconnect the car charger adapter from
the on-board power socket when you no
longer need the car charger adapter.
► Never plug in the car charger adapter
without charging a device! The car
charger adapter consumes power in
standby mode, so you should disconnect
it from the on-board power socket after
use! Otherwise, it will drain your battery
if your engine is off.

Troubleshooting
A connected device does not charge
(the power LED 3 does not light up
white)
♦ No connection to on-board power
socket. Check the connection.
♦ Depending on the vehicle type, the igni-
tion may have to be turned on first.
The power LED 3 turns off after a
device is connected.
♦ The car charger adapter is overloaded
and no longer charges the connected
devices. The internal fuse tripped. Discon-
nect all connected devices from the car
charger adapter. The white power LED 3
will light up right away and the car
charger adapter is operational again.

Cleaning and storage
► Disconnect the device from the 12/24V
port before cleaning it and when it is
not in use.
► The temperatures inside the car can
reach extreme values in summer and
winter. Therefore, to prevent damage to
your vehicle, do not store the device in
the vehicle.
► Do not use caustic, abrasive, or solvent-
based cleaners. They can damage the
surfaces of the device.
♦ Clean the surfaces of the device with a
soft, dry cloth.
♦ Store the device in a dry, dust-free place,
away from direct sunlight.

Disposal
Disposal of the device
Electrical devices may not be thrown away
as part of normal household trash. If you
can no longer use your electrical device,
dispose of it in accordance with the legal
provisions applicable in your state. This

recycled and environmental pollution is kept
