Overview

The IT9360, IT9380, and IT9388-HT is an outdoor turret network camera capable of

1920 x 1080 at 30 fps, or 2560 x 1920 resolution at 20 fps. At the 5MP resolution and

with the WDR function enabled, the frame rate is slightly reduced to 20fps. The rmware

comes with another 4MP resolution mode with a 30fps frame rate. With the most updated

VIVOTEK WDR Pro technology, the camera series is capable of capturing the highest

quality images in both low light and high contrast environments.

The onboard IR can provide illumination in total darkness. With the Smart IR feature, the

rmware automatically adjusts the IR intensity for objects that came too close, in order to

avoid over-exposure.

The cameras support WDR function at the effectiveness of up to 120dB. These models

support local video stroage on the MicroSD cards if network service should be interrupted.

The cameras also come with congurable motion detection and tampering detection with

up to 5 privacy mask areas.

Read Before Use

The use of surveillance devices may be prohibited by law in your country. The Network Camera

is not only a high-performance web-ready camera but can also be part of a exible surveillance

system. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the operation of such devices is legal before

installing this unit for its intended use.

It is important to first verify that all contents received are complete according to the Package

Contents listed below. Take note of the warnings in the Quick Installation Guide before the Network

Camera is installed; then carefully read and follow the instructions in the Installation chapter to

avoid damage due to faulty assembly and installation. This also ensures the product is used

properly as intended.

The Network Camera is a network device and its use should be straightforward for those who

have basic networking knowledge. It is designed for various applications including video sharing,

general security/surveillance, etc. The Configuration chapter suggests ways to best utilize the

Network Camera and ensure proper operations. For creative and professional developers, the URL

Commands of the Network Camera section serves as a helpful reference to customizing existing

homepages or integrating with the current web server.

IMPORTANT:

1. The product must be installed and protected in a location that is not easily accessible,

and is away from impacts or heavy vibration. For example, at the location where the

surveillance cameras are looking down or installed at high positions such as on a wall,

or at least 3 meters above the ground.

2. The camera should be installed at least 10 centimeters away from the eave of a building.

3. If powered by a power adapter, the adapter should be properly grounded.

4. Maintenance and repair work must always be carried out by qualified technical

personnel.

5. Disconnect power from the unit when performing a maintenance task.

6. Please contact VIVOTEK's certied dealers for power adapters.

IMPORTANT:

1. The camera is only to be connected to PoE networks without routing to outside plants.

2. For PoE connection, use only UL listed I.T.E. with PoE output.

Use the camera only with a DC power supply that is UL listed, and limited power source

(LPS) certied. The power supply should bear the UL listed and LPS marks. The power

supply should also meet any safety and compliance requirements for the country of use.

Many copper coated aluminum (CCA) and other non-standard conductors cabling products

are masqueraded as CAT5E or CAT6 cables. Please avoid using these CCA products

especially when cascading PoE cameras. It is a must to use Ethernet cables compliant

with the 3P/ETL standard.

IMPORTANT:

The camera's cable can be routed through a drilled hole or through the opening on the side

of camera. Observe and look for the best installation position.

Avoid touching the circuit board to prevent the damage from electro-static

discharge. If available, it is recommended to wear an anti-static wrist band.

4-2. Insert a MicroSD card into the socket on the lid, with its gold ngers facing down.

Close the lid.

is secured in place.

6. Use the included alignment sticker to drill holes for mounting screws and a cabling hole

if applicable.

7. If a cabling through hole is preferred, it should have a diameter larger than 25mm. Pull a

CAT5e Ethernet cable through the hole.

8. Disassemble the cable gland and install the waterproof seal components to the Ethernet

cable.

9. Connect the Ethernet cable to the camera's RJ45 female socket. Tighten up the

waterproof components. Make sure they are adequately installed to prevent damage by

moisture.

10. Install the camera to a wall or ceiling by fastening 4 included screws.

It is a good practice to form a drip loop on the back-end cable. Leakage or

moisture can gather in condensation into water drops and run along the cable. A

drip loop ensures no water gets to the camera.

11. Match the outer shroud with the camera's main body.

12. Install the camera to the base plate. It is easier to install by matching the groove on the

outer shroud with the inner rim on the base plate.

Software Installation

14. Install the Shepherd utility, which helps you locate and congure your Network Camera

in the local network. If your camera comes without the CD, go to VIVOTEK’s website,

and locate the utility in the Downloads > Software page.
