After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure that
all attaching component parts are secure.

1. Removethetwomountingscrewsandwashersthatsecurethebackupholstery
tothebackcanes(DetailA”).
2. Removethetwomountingscrews,locknuts,and(forwheelchairs
manufacturedafter11/1/2005)spacersthatsecureonebackcanetothe
wheelchairframe(Detail“C”).
3. Pulltheloosebackcaneoutofthebackupholstery.
4. Slideanewbackcanethroughthebackupholstery.
5. Securethenewbackcanetothewheelchairframeatthedesiredbackheight
withthetwomountingscrews,locknuts,and(forwheelchairsmanufactured
after11/1/2005)spacers(Detail“B”).
NOTE:Forwheelchairsmanufacturedafter11/1/2005,thespacersmustbeontheoutside
ofthewheelchairinorderforthemountingscrewstobeproperlytightened(Detail“C”).

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
6. RepeatSTEPS25fortheotherbackcane,ensuringthatthebackheightselected
inSTEP5isthesameforbothbackcanes.
7. Securethebackupholsterytothenewbackcaneswiththeexistingmounting
screwsandwashers(DetailA”).
