Contacts
You can view and add contacts to the Contact Directory.
View
Select Dirs > Contact Directory on the Home screen.
Add a Contact
1. Select Add in the Contact Directory.
2. Enter the contact’s information.
3. Select Save.
Note: You can enter a number between 1 - 99 in the Favorite Index to make a contact a favorite.
Call Functions
Enter Data
Use the dial pad keys to enter information.
1. Press a key repeatedly to view the character options.
2. Press to backspace.
3. Press Encoding to type other characters.
4. Use the 1, *, 0, and # keys when using the dial pad keys.
Place Calls
You can only have one active call in progress. You can use the handset, speakerphone, or headset for calls.
During a call, you can change modes by picking up the handset, or by pressing or .
Perform one of the following options:
Pick up the handset, press or , enter the phone number, and press Send.
Enter the phone number, press Dial and pick up the handset, or press .
Press the Line key on the Lines screen, enter the phone number, and press Send.
Select New Call on the Home screen, enter the phone number, and press Send.

Select a Favorite from the Home screen.
Select a contact from the Recent Calls list and press Dial.
Select a contact from the Contact Directory and press Dial.
Answer Calls
You can answer calls using the handset, speakerphone, or a headset. Perform one of the following options:
Press or press the Answer soft.
Pick up the handset.
Press to answer with a headset.
End Calls
You can only end active calls. To end a held call, you must resume the call first.
To end an active call, replace the handset, press or , or press the End Call soft key.
To end a held call, select the held call and press Resume, and then press End Call.
Hold/Resume Calls
You can have multiple calls on hold and resume a call at any time.
1. Select the call and press the Hold soft key.
2. Select the call and press the Resume soft key.
Transfer Calls
You can transfer calls to any contact and choose the method of transfer.
1. Press and hold the Transfer soft key.
2. Select Blind or Consultative.
3. Dial a number or select a contact.
4. If you chose Blind, the call is transferred immediately.
5. If you chose Consultative, press the Transfer soft key after speaking with the contact.
Forward Calls
You can forward an incoming call to a contact, or forward all incoming calls to a contact.
Forward an Incoming Call
1. Select Forward on the Incoming Call screen.
2. Enter your contact’s number and select Forward.
Forward All Incoming Calls
1. Select Forward on the Home screen.

2. Select a line if you have more than one.
3. Select Always, No Answer, or Busy.
4. Enter a contact’s number.
5. Select Enable. If you chose No Answer, you can enter the number of rings before the call is
forwarded.
Disable Call Forwarding
1. Select Forward on the Home screen.
-OR-
Press the Fwd soft key on the Idle screen.
2. Select a line if you have more than one.
3. Select your forwarding type and select Disable.
Mute the Microphone
You can mute or unmute your microphone during calls.
Press . Microphone Mute or Microphone Unmute displays on the screen.
Recent Calls
You can view recently placed, received, and missed calls.
Select Dirs > Recent Calls.
Conference Calls
Initiate
You can initiate a conference call with up to eight contacts.
1. Call a contact.
2. Select Conference and call your next contact.
3. When your contact answers, select Conference.
Note: You can also join an active and held call into a conference call. Select Join on the Calls screen.
Manage All Conference Participants
Select Hold to hold all participants.
Manage Individual Participants
1. Select a participant and select Manage.
2. Perform one of the following options:

Select Far Mute to mute the participant.
Select Hold to place the participant on hold.
Select Remove to remove the participant from the conference
Select Information to view information for the participant.
Voice Mail
The icon next to a line key indicates that you have voice mail.
1. Select Msgs on the Home screen.
2. Select Message Center > Connect.
Do Not Disturb
You can enable Do Not Disturb when you do not want to receive calls.
Select DND on the Home screen or Idle screen.
Update Ringtones
You can set ringtones for incoming calls from all contacts and from individual contacts.
Set Ringtone for Incoming Calls
Select Settings > Basic > Ring Type and select a ringtone.
Set Ringtone for Individual Contacts
1. Select Dirs > Contact Directory.
2. Select a contact.
3. Select Edit.
4. Choose a ringtone.
5. Select Save.
