Whenthedriverinstallationprocesshasbeencompleted,connecttheDS-DAC-100m
toyourcomputerandpreparetolistentoaudiolesonyourcomputer.
UsetheincludedUSBcabletoconnect theunittoyourcomputer andto verify
thatit’sworking.
The DS-DAC-100m operates on bus power supplied via the USB port; it does not
need an AC adaptor or any other external power supply.
Wheneverpossible,youshouldconnectthisunitdirectlytoaUSBportonyour
computer.IfyoucannotavoidusingaUSBhub,youshoulduseaUSBhubthat
hasitsown powersupply.Abus-poweredUSB hubmay beunable to supply
enoughelectricalpower.

“DS-DACSeriesOwner’sManual,”andreferto“PlaybackusingAudioGate(Win-
dows)”or“PlaybackusingAudioGate(MacOS).”

Installing the driver
Use the KORG AudioGate and DS-DAC Setup program to install the driver and
AudioGate.
Donotconnect the DS-DAC-100m to yourcomputerbeforeyou’venished in-
stallingthedriver.Ifyou’vealreadyconnectedit,disconnectit;thenreconnectit
aeryou’venishedinstallingthedriver.

In the Driver tab, set the Mode, Sample Rate, Streaming Buer Size, and ASIO Buer
Size.
If you frequentlyexperienceclicksor noise during playback, youmay
be able to improve thesit uat ionby loweringthe output samplerate or
increasing the buffersize. Increasing the buffersizewill increase the
latency*,anddecreasingthebuersizewilldecreasethelatency.

Mode
ThisswitchesbetweenPCMandDSDmodes.
UseDSDmodewith sowaresuchasAudioGate that supportsDSDoutputin
ASIO.FordetailsonDSDplayback,seethemanualofthesowarethatyou’reus-
ing.
Sample Rate
Thisspeciesthesamplerate.
When Mode is DSD: Choose2.8224MHzor5.6448MHz.
When Mode is PCM: Choose44.1kHz,48kHz,88.2kHz,96kHz,176.4kHz,or
192kHz.
Streaming Buer Size
Thisselectsthesizeofthestreamingbuer.
ChooseMinimum,ExtraSmall,Small,Large,ExtraLarge,orSafe.Minimumis
thesmallestsize,andSafeisthelargest.Normallyyoushouldleavethissettothe
maximum(Safe).
ASIO Buer Size
ThisselectsthesizeoftheASIObuer.
ChooseMinimum,Small,Large,orMaximum.Minimumisthesmallestsize,and
Maximumisthelargest.NormallyyoushouldleavethissettoMaximum.
In the Version tab, you can check the driver version and update the rmware.
