What’s in the box?
Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the
contents of your order. Each sensor is identied by a
sensor number label.
While every Frontpoint system is completely
customized, a typical system includes:
CONTROL PANEL
The Control Panel is the nerve center of your system. It connects wirelessly
with all the sensors in your home and communicates with Frontpoint using a
secure cellular connection.
SENSORS
Wireless sensors create the protective shield around your home. These may
include sensors for doors, windows, motion, glass breakage, environmental
conditions, and more.
ACCESSORIES AND SUPPLIES
Yard sign, window decals, adhesive strips and screws — we include everything
you need to round out your system.

fault interrupted (GFI) outlets).

Plan locations for
your sensors
Using this sensor location sheet, list where you will place all of your sensors
(e.g. front door, back door, family room, etc.). We recommend taking time to
choose sensor locations prior to setup.
SPECIAL SETUP NOTES
Each of your sensors has already been numbered
Make sure to use the lowest numbered sensors for your doors
(e.g. front door).
After listing the doors you want protected, list the remaining areasin which
your sensors will be placed (e.g. family room, front hallway, kitchen, etc.)
Refer back to this page after your activation call, to customize your sensor

The Door & Window Sensor is a small, wireless
device that detects the opening and closing of
just about anything. This sensor comes with
two pieces: the larger piece (transmitter) and
the smaller piece (magnet). When placing the
two pieces, nd the “arrow” on each and be
sure these arrows are as close together as
possible (within 3/4 of an inch).

Motion Sensor
SPECIAL TIPS FOR PET OWNERS
Do not set up a Motion Sensor in a room frequented by any pet (over 40 lbs).
Do not set up a motion sensor that points at (or is near) an elevated surface
that a pet may be able to jump onto (e.g. a bed, a couch, etc.)
Multiple small pets that group together may appear larger to a Motion
Sensor and can trigger a false alarm.
The wireless Motion Sensor detects
people moving across a room and
can secure larger common areas
(e.g. a living room, a hallway, a
basement, etc.).
Want to learn more?
Visit www.frontpointsecurity.com/support-overview for more
details about system setup.
WHERE TO PLACE
In a central room or corridor of your home
4 to 5 feet o the ground
Adhered on a wall, in a corner or on a shelf
Within ~100 ft of the Control Panel
www.frontpointsecurity.com
NOTE
The sensor light turns on only during test mode. To test, remove and
replace the back cover. Within 60 seconds, leave the sensor area, then walk
across the room. When the light illuminates, the sensor is working properly.
After 60 seconds of inactivity, the sensor will return to regular operation.

Place the sensor in the corner of a wall
To place in a corner, attach two strips of adhesive to the rear corner surfaces of
the sensor (marked with removable white stickers)

Intrusion Sensors:
Glass Break Sensor
WHERE TO PLACE
Between 4–20 feet from the window being protected
Mounted on a wall or ceiling, or simply resting on a shelf

Near an air compressor
In a stairwell or room smaller than 100 square feet
In rooms with excessive “white noise” (e.g. smaller rooms with fans, kitchens,
garages, etc.)
In rooms with high humidity
