D-520 is a multimedia hard disk allowing you to take advantage of
the best of your videos, photos and favorite music directly on your
tv, 1080i in resolution.
Thanks to its USB HOST 2.0 function, you can read in any
simplicity the files on your USB key or USB disk.

INTRODUCTION
Your D-520 is an external hard drive with a multimedia function making possible to look
at your pictures and videos on your TV, or to listen your music.
OPERATING
- Connected in USB to the computer, you can copy the files on your hard disk to the hard
disk of D-520.
- When disconnected from the computer, connect the D-520 to your TV to visualize your
multimedia files.

FRONT PANEL
1. IR : To receive the signal of the remote control.
ON LED : to see the state of the power (blue LED).
HDD LED : to see the state of playing files (green LED).
STANDBY LED : To see the state of the power (red LED).
REAR PANEL
1. POWER : Switch ON/OFF.
2. DC IN : To connect the power supply adapter.
3. USB 2.0 : To connect the D-520 to the PC.
4. VIDEO OUT : AV output.
5. COAXIAL : Sound output coaxial.
6. HDMI : AV output (HDMI).

1. USB HOST : To connect an USB device (USB stick or external hard disk).

Allows the user to display the subtitle modification window.

Allows the user to directly access the setup page.
20 AUDIO
Allows the user to select an audio track.
21 ZOOM
Allows the user to zoom.
22 SLIDE SHOW
Activate slideshow mode.
23 ROTATE
Allows to rotate the picture while a slideshow.
24 4:3/16:9
Allows the user to switch the display mode between 4:3PS, 4:3LB and 16:9.
25 BACKLIGHT
Activate/Deactivate LED.
26 VIDEO OUT
Allows the user to switch between the different video display modes.

CONNECT THE D-520 TO THE COMPUTER
1. Connect the power supply adapter to the DC IN socket
2. Put the switch behind the product to ON
3. Connect the USB cable with the PC or MAC
4. The “Standby” LED lights on BLUE color
5. Take a look on “My computer”, the STOREX device will appears with an
additional letter or for MAC users it will automatically mount on the desktop
6. Just drag and drop or copy/paste all your files into the disk and enjoy watching.

CONNECT THE D-520 TO THE TV
1. Connect the D-520 to the television with the AV cable (depending on your
configuration).
2. Connect the D-520 to the television with the provided HDMI cable (depending on
your configuration).
3. Connect the power supply adapter behind the D-520.
4. Put the switch behind the product to ON.
5. Make sure that your TV is on the good channel; basically a schema can guide you
(AV1, AV2, EXT1, EXT2…).
6. The “Standby” LED lights on BLUE color.
7. The LCD display “LOAD” and the TV display “Loading”.
8. The home menu will appear after few seconds.

PLAYING FILES
1. Changing disk.
Press directional keys on the remote control then press "ENTER".
If the hard disk has many partitions, the screen will display all the partitions.
2. Select the desired mode on the page below, 5 mains icons, which you can access from
the remote control (VIDEO, MUSIC, PHOTO and FILE), just select one of the for modes to
use it with the arrows in the middle of the remote control and press "ENTER". To use the
remote control please refer to previous remote control details.

3. Press the directional keys to select the desired files/folders then press "ENTER" to
confirm your Selection.
4. Press "
" to makes appear the shortcut bar below, move on it with the directional
keys on you remote control then press "ENTER".

HOW TO READ FROM AN USB DEVICE
1. Connect your USB device or memory card (please refer to the chapter “unit details”).
2. Press "HOME" key on remote control, the connected devices will appear automatically
like shown above. If the device has many partitions, the unit will show them directly
on the screen.
3. Press the directional keys to select the desired files/folders then press "ENTER" to
confirm your Selection.
4. Press "
" to makes appear the shortcut bar below, move on it with the directional
keys on you remote control then press "ENTER".

On this page you can set all the settings, included the language.
1. Press the "SETUP" button in the remote control to access the "SETTINGS" page.

TERMS OF WARRANTY
Your D-520 player carries a limited one year warranty.
STOREX guarantees your product against any manufacturing and assembly faults. This
warranty only applies to the first purchase of an D-520 by the end-user, and is not
transferable if the unit is subsequently sold. The warranty does not cover
incompatibilities detected by the end user outside the recommendations for use printed
on the box, or incompatibilities arising with other hardware or software installed on the
computer to which product is connected.
Proof of purchase must be provided to our staff before STOREX will honour the warranty.
The warranty does not cover breakdowns or faults due to failure to comply with the
instructions in this manual, negligence, transformation of the drive, faulty installation or
handling, repairs or modifications that are not authorized by STOREX, inappropriate
testing, accidents or external factors such as, but not limited to, excessive heat or
humidity, power failures or incorrect installation /removal of the D-520 player
STOREX’s only contractual obligation is to repair or replace the faulty product. STOREX
cannot be held liable for data loss or its consequences arising from the faulty operation
or breakdown of the product. On under any conditions STOREX’s financial liability amount
won’t be more than the price paid for the product by the end user.
The D-520 player warranty is as defined in this document and its scope cannot be
modified, reduced or extended without the written agreement of STOREX, and STOREX
cannot be held liable for any technical advice or service provided in relation to your D-
520 player.
You are not the transferee of this guarantee. The warranty covers your D-520 player,
and is governed by French law.

Your STOREX product has been laboratory tested; it complies to European
guidelines corresponding to the CE labelling in force at the time of its launch.
Your STOREX product's components are tracable; this demonstrates the
product's compliance to environmental guidelines (RoHS) in force at the time of
its launch.
Once the product has reached the end of its lifespan, don't throw it in a dustbin.
Return it to the retailer or bring it to a rubbish heap, to ensure the product is
properly disposed of via a waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
channel.
Your STOREX product has been prepared, tested and packaged in a
French company, ISO9001 : 2008 certified by an annual audit
performed by a qualified person from Bureau Véritas Certification.
SECURITY INFORMATION
This device was designed and built in order to guarantee your safety. The safety
mecanisms implemented in the product will protect you if you observe the following
installation, use and troubleshooting procedures:

installing your device,

GENERAL INFORMATION
- Don't shake the reader as this may damage the product,
- Only use components and accessories (power supply...) recommended by the
manufacturer,
- Don't move the device while it is working.
SAFETY
- In order to avoid fires or electrical shocks, don't place the device near objects
contining liquid,
- If a heavy object or some liquid were to fall on the device, unplug it immediately
and have it checked by a qualified party before using it again.
- While functioning, the box's surface produces heat; consequently, place the
product on a flat and hard surface and avoid covering it or placing anything over
it.

PRODUCT'S POWER SUPPLY
- If you don't plan to use the product for an extended period of time or if a storm
occurs, unplug the device from the wall socket by handling the plug itself, not by
pulling on the cable,
- The power adaptor provided is specific to the product. Using another adaptor
could damage the product or cause accidents.
PLACING THE PRODUCT
- Place the device away from high attraction equipment such as microwaves,
speakers...
- Place your product in a sufficiently ventilated place and on a flat and hard surface
in order to disperse the heat produced by the device.
CLEANING
- Never open the product to clean it or the guarantee will be void,
- Unplug the product from the wall socket before cleaning it,
- Clean the product's surface as well as the remote control with a soft and dry cloth.
Never use rough materials, scourer powder or solvents such as alcohol or spirits.
TROUBLESHOOTING
- All troubleshooting should be dealt with by qualified parties. This can be necessary
in several cases, such as: damaged plug or power cable, liquid spillt on the
product, introduction of small objects into the product, exposure to rain or
dampness, functioning fault, accidental drop…
IMPORTANT POINT
Warning: This product allows the display of a still video image or a screen image on your
television screen for an undetermined period of time. Displaying a still video image or a
screen image on your television screen during an extended period of time can cause
damage to your television screen. Plasma screen televisions and projector screens are
particularly sensitive.
