Fundamental safety warnings

• Read the instructions carefully.The appliance should

be used for domestic cleaning only following these

instructions and only with the tools supplied. The

manufacturer declines all liability for damage deriving

from improper use of the appliance, for example to

vacuumuprubble,ash,etc.

Danger of electric shock

• Beforeusingtheappliance,checkthatthemainssupply

voltagecorrespondstothevoltageindicatedontherating

plate.

• Connecttheappliancetosocketswithaminimumcurrent

ratingof10Aonly.

• When not in use or before cleaning or maintenance,

alwaysunplugtheappliancefromthemainssocket.

• Never clean the appliance with triethylene or other

solvents.

• Iftheapplianceappearsdefective,donotuse.

• Donotruntheapplianceoverthepowercabletoavoid

damagingthecableinsulation.

• Do not pull the power cable out beyond the point

our), the HEPA lter must be changed more frequently

to guarantee the eciency of the appliance.Do not use

(including children) with psychological, physical or

sensory impairments or with insucient knowledge,

unless closely supervised and instructed by someone

Attach the turbo brush to the telescopic tube. With the

applianceon,thepassageofairmovestherotatingbrush.

Avoidvacuumingoverrugfringesastheycouldbedamagedby

themovementoftheroller.

Overfrequentuseoftheturbobrushoveralongperiodcould

damageparticularlydelicaterugsorcarpets.

andplugintothemains.Torewindthecable,unplugandpress

Operation

Toturnthevacuumcleaneronando,lightlypressthepedal

switch (g.13).

Electronic suction power regulation

The electronic regulator enables suction powerto be varied

accordingtothetypeofsurfacetobecleaned.

The maximum power of the appliance can therefore be

exploitedtovacuumdustfromcarpetsorhardoors(marble,

ceramics,cotto,etc)andalowersuctionpowertocleancurtains

orotherlightfabrics.

Pressbuttons“+”and“-”ontheappliance(g.14)tochoose

thepowerlevel.ThecorrespondingLEDlightsup(MIN,MED,

MAX).

Cleaning

EPS (Electronic Protection System) dust bag full

indicator

Theindicatorlightsupwhenthevacuumductisblockedorthe

dustbagisfull.

Quandosiaccende(g.16A),procedereallasostituzioneWhen

itcomeson(g.16A),replacethebag.Inmodelswithbutton

controller,allthreeindicatorlightsonthepowerregulator(g.

16B)comeontoshowthatthesystemisactivated.

If you continue to use the appliance after the indicator has

comeon,thevacuumpowerisreducedautomatically.Thisis

asafetydevicetoavoiddamagetothemotor.

OncethecauseleadingtheEPSsystemtointervenehasbeen

removed,turntheapplianceothenonagainbypressingthe

pedal .Thisistheonlywaytoturntheappliancebackon.

Replacingthedustbag

To change the paper dust bag, pull the bag compartment

opening lever (g. 17) and lift the cover. Remove the bag

holder(g.18).Placethebagholderoverarubbishbin,close

thebagbypullingthetabonthecardboard(g.19)anddrop

itintothebin.

Replacewithanewbag,putthebagholderbackandclosethe

dustbagcompartmentagainexertinglightpressure.

To guarantee vacuuming eciency and exploit the

full capacity of the bags, use bags authorised bythe

manufactureronly.

Youshouldchangethedustbagfrequentlywhenvacuuming

upverynedirtsuchasour,talcumpowder,etc.

Pleasenote:Theappliancehasasafetydevicewhichprevents

thedustbagcompartmentcoverbeingclosedwhenthereisno

dustbaginplace.

Motor protection lter

Toextend the workinglife of theappliance andprotectthe

motor,itisvitaltokeepthemotorprotectionlterclean.To

access the lter, open the dust bag compartment, extract

thedustbagandremovethelter(g.20).Ifthelterisnot

excessivelydirty,simplyremovethedust.If thelterisvery

dirty,washanddry.

Makesurethelterisperfectlydrybeforereplacingit.Make

sureitispositionedcorrectly.

Air outlet lter

Your appliance is tted with a high eciency lter (HEPA

Filter**)

Thisishousedundertheairoutletslits.

Toreplace,pressandliftthegrille(g.21).Removethelter.

Replacethelterbyrestingitinpositionthenclosethegrill,

exertinglightpressureuntiltheclipsclickintoplace.

You should replace the lter at least every ve dust bags

changes.

** The HEPA Filter (High Eciency Particulate Air) removes

impurities down to a size of 0.3 microns,lteringall types of

particleandevenbacteria.

Cleaning the multisurface brush (N) (certain models

only)

The brush has two TOTAL CLEAN buttons which allow the

brushwheelstobeextracted,makingthewheelsandpinseasy

toclean(g.22).

Cleaningtheturbobrush(R)(certainmodelsonly)

Alwayscleantheturbobrushwiththemotoro.Neverplace

the ngers under the turbo brush when the appliance is

operating.

Press and lift the inspection door on the bottom of the

turbo brush (g. 23) and remove the dirt deposited in the

compartment.Closethedooragain.

Parking position

The appliance is provided with a hose tidy system on the

bottomtoenableittobeputawaysafelyandtidily(Fig.24A).

If you have to interrupt cleaning for a brief period, the

appliancehasaconvenienthose“parking”system.Insertthe

bracketonthebrushjointintothehousingonthebottomof

theappliance.Insertthebracketonthebrushjointintotheclip

attherearoftheappliance(g.24B).

Important warning

Malfunctionoftheappliance(lowpower,unusualnoiseorcompletebreakdown)

couldbecausedbyobstructednozzlesorhosesorfaultyelectricalcomponents.

Checkthenozzles,bagsandmotorprotectionlter.

Ifthisdoesnotresolvetheproblem,taketheappliancetoanauthorisedservice

centre.
