Functions
During operation, QAL3 Master pro-
cesses all control measurements initi-
ated manually or automatically by the
measuring device. Optionally, the send-
ing of an e-mail can be precongured as
automatic alerting when drift and accu-
racy tolerances are exceeded. The QAL3
Client provides the following functions:
• Display of all QAL3 data and
evaluations
• Configuration of the QAL3 Master
• Input of new QAL3 values
• Maintenance of the warning log
• Semiautomatic evaluations of
devices connected analog via
MEAC2000
Types of connectivity
The QAL3 Client can be installed on
any workplace computers connected
via network with the computer on
which the QAL3 database is running
(see example 2). Several software
modules run together in the back-
ground (see p. 3). The individual
programs can be installed on a single
computer (see example 1) or distrib-
uted over several network computers.
The QAL3 database and QAL3 server
are part of the basic equipment, they
are supplemented by the QAL3 driv-
ers for the measuring modules used.
The solution with a distributed system
(see example 2) is of interest for large
installations with several analyzers
to increase, for example, reliability or
distribute system resources.
What does semiautomatic QAL3
evaluation mean?
When devices are monitored that
have an analog connection with
the emission computer MEAC2000,
the signal patterns are written dur-
ing adjustment measurements.
On the QAL3 client, a user must
select the QAL3 measured values
semi-automatically.
