Curling Iron CI580
Please read the safety instructions carefully before using this
appliance. Please retain the instructions for future refer
ence.
SAFETY MEASURES
When using your appliance, the following basic
safety precautions should always be followed:
X Before using for the first time, check that the
appliance voltage is the same as your local supply.
X Only use the appliance for the purposes stipu-
lated by the instructions.
X Only use attachments supplied with the equip-
ment.
X To avoid electric shocks, do not immerse the appliance,
plug or power cord in water or any other liquids. Do
not place the appliance where it could come into contact with
water or other liquids. If the appliance comes in contact with
water, immediately disconnect it from the mains. Do not use
the machine again until it has been serviced by an autho-
rized service center.
X Do not let children use the appliance without supervision.
X This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabili-
ties, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
X If the plug of the appliance’s power cord does not fit
your wall outlet, contact an authorized service cen-
ter.
X Use of various adapters may result in damage to the
appliance and termination of warranty.
X Always supervise the equipment while in use.
X To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate any other high
voltage equipment on the same circuit.
X Always unplug the appliance after use, before mov-
ing and before cleaning it.
X Never pull the cord to disconnect the appliance, instead grasp
the plug and pull it to disconnect.
X Do not allow the cord or the machine itself to come in contact
with hot surfaces.
X Position the equipment and the cord so that nobody can acci-
dentally overturn the equipment.
X Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped, or it has a
damaged power cord or plug. Do not modify or repair the
machine yourself.
X Do not dismantle the appliance as improper assembly might
result in an electric shock during the subsequent use of the
equipment. Repairs should only be done by authorized
service centers.
X Do not use the appliance where the air may contain volatile
flammable substances.
X This equipment is intended for household use only, not for

commercial or industrial use.
X Please follow all the requirements of this guide.
X Do not use the appliance if it has mechanical defects (dents,
cracks etc.), get it checked by the nearest authorized service
center.
SPECIAL SAFETY MEASURES
X Only place the heated or connected appliance
on an even, dry, heat-resistant surface.
X Do not allow foreign objects between the heated
parts of the appliance, as this can cause electrical
shock.
X Never cover the appliance or put it on soft
surfaces, for example, a bed etc.
X Avoid direct contact of the hot parts of the appliance with the
skin of the head.
X Do not use this appliance near a bath, sink or other places
where there is liquid.
X For additional protection it is advisable to install a residual cur-
rent device (RCD) having a rated tripping current of not more
than 30 mA into the mains circuit of the bathroom. Consult a
qualified electrician for help.
X Always disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply
immediately after its use.
X Do not use the appliance when you are sleepy or sluggish.
X To prevent cord damage, never wind the cord round the ap-
pliance.
X Never use the appliance on wet hair.
X Never use the appliance for curling wigs made from synthetic
hair.
X Do not use the appliance, if you have severely damaged hair.

BEFORE USING
THE APPLIANCE
X Remove all labels from the appliance, wipe it
with soft fabric and put it on a dry plain surface.
X Before using the appliance make sure that
your hair is completely dry
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the appliance on its base (8) upon a
dry smooth horizontal surface.
2. Connect the power cord plug to the electric
mains and set the switch (6) into the appropriate
position. The Indicator light (7) will light up, show-
ing that the appliance is heating.
3. Wait for the appliance to heat up to the re-
quired temperature (approximately 10 minutes).
4. Select a small lock of hair (approximately 15 mm wide) and
comb it from roots to tips.
5. Press the lever (5) to open the hair clip (3).
6. Place the ends of the hair between work surface (2) and hair
clip (3).
7. Rotate the appliance by the handle (11) to wind the hair onto
the work surface. For your convenience you may rotate the
handle (11) with one hand and support the appliance by the
non-heating tip (1) with the other.
8. Treat each lock for around 10- 20 seconds.
9. Carefully release the hair by lifting the lever (5). Let the hair
cool down.
10.Continue operation as described above to treat all of your
hair.
11.Always unplug the appliance immediately after use.
Brush sleeve (12)
This attachment adds volume to your hair style.
Put fixing loops of the sleeve (12) on the base screws (8) as
shown on Pic B.
Spiral sleeve (13)
This attachment makes spiral curls.
Press the lever (5), put on the sleeve under the short clip (4)
and fix it with the lever (5) and the clip (4). Make sure the sleeve
(13) is put on correctly (see pic. C).

CARE AND CLEANING
1. Clean the irons after every use.
2. Unplug the device and wait until it completely
cools down.
3. Use a soft damp cloth to clean the working
surface of the appliance (2) and the handle
(11). Do not allow water or other liquids to get
inside the appliance.
4. If you are not going to use the appliance for some time, then
let it completely cool down, place it in the box and store in a
safe dry place out of reach of children.
DISPOSAL
The appliance should be disposed of in accor-
dance with waste disposal regulations in your coun-
try and with the least damage to the environment.
Only ecologically safe materials are used in
the packaging of our products and the cardboard
and paper can be disposed of with normal paper
waste.
AFTER-SALES SERVICE
If your appliance does not operate or does
not operate properly, contact an authorized
service center for consultancy or repair.
The warrantee does not cover:
- product packing, consumables and accesso-
ries (knives, tips, etc.);
- mechanical damages and natural wear of
the product;
- failures due to overloading, improper or careless maintenance,
penetration of liquids, dust, insects and other foreign matters
inside the product, exposure of plastic and other not thermal-
resistant components to high temperatures, force-majeure cir-
cumstances (accidents, fire, flooding, power grid failure, light-
ning stroke, etc.);
- damages caused by:
X Non-fulfillment of the above-mentioned precautions and op-
erating manuals.
X Application in commercial purposes (application of the product
beyond personal daily living needs).
X Connection to a grid with a voltage which differs from that
indicated on the appliance.
X Unauthorized repair or replacement of the components of the
appliance, performed by an unauthorized person or service
center.
